Is this the Evo X?
Wow, I really like it. If the current Evo looked more like it, I would have much more seriously considered buying one.

Coming from someone who absolutly HATES the current Evo I think it looks really good!
All you need to change is the fuel door, the spoiler (just a smaller one), and the tail-lights. I can't wait to see them if they look close to this. I am also interested in the interior. What does the inside look like?

I think it looks really good. Sorta reminds me of a GTO and a TSX. I'd definately trade in my Evo 8 for something like that if they ditch the cheesy dual tips and a few other cosmetic things. That's a good looking car.

It's a world above the current EVO in cosmetics.. I have to agree with the guys who wonder how it'll be changed to meet US spec regulations. I'm not to fond of the "huge gaping hole in the front of the car" look that mitsu has employed but I didn't like it on the acura's either. It's like the original NRF kit on the RX-8, hideous.
Mitsu has spiced it up a little but it's still not my cup of tea.
The car definitely looks more like a sporty sedan than a riced up sedan now. I really do like the fenders on it this run and IMHO the wing doesn't look half bad.
I guess we'll see how it all ends up.

Anywhere you see a warning sign that states the obvious you can guarantee some idiot did something stupid and then sued the manufacturer.
My favourite is the one on lawn mowers that says do not stick hand in blades. I can only picture what happened for that one.

There just aren't many *stupidity* lawsuits in Japan... yet. But when there's a death in a car accident it's a big deal. See my comments in the "Clarkson dumps on Mustang/Solstice" thread on this subject. You pay... you pay a lot when there's an accident and someone is injured or dies. The worst is if the injured party is a pedestrian (including bicycles)...
It's a big deal when somebody dies no matter where you are in the world. Not trying to downplay the significance of that. No where else on the planet has the ridiculous degree of litigation the US has, and auto makers are often the brunt of it regardless of the TRUE cause of the accident. Driving drunk and roll your Chevy SUV at 90mph? No problem. Sue GM for not employing an anti roll stability control feature in their SUV line yet. If you can dream up a case against a big corporation, there's a **** bag lawyer (or team of **** bag lawyers) who'll represent you. Unless I'm mistaken it's not the epidemic in Japan that it's become in the US...yet.

In fact the best exhaust setup on a turbo charged vehicle is no exhaust at all.

Ditto.
Speaking of the Evo X, some guy on EvoM just posted pics of his brand new Evo IX. He thinks he's the first Evo 9 owner in the US and nobody is arguing with him...

Oh no... don't misunderstand me. I hate the "stupidity" lawsuits in the US. Everytime one makes the news I always can't believe the judge actually heard the case. Those suits are ridiculous.
The point I was trying to make that even though the litigation is lower in Japan (various reasons such as lack of lawyers), there are still significant costs to accidents, etc.
OTOH, everything is dumbed down in Japan. Escalators have recorded voices reminding you to step to the side when getting off.... make sure to hold the hands of children when riding the escalator, warning labels on everything... the list goes on. Someone here would do something as dumb as take an electric appliance in the bath just because there was no warning saying that you can't.
