What the #$5^ happened in the beginning there?

I hope BMW ships a CSL version to the states. I don't care much for the luxo model.

*Edit* wait a minute, that vid is stretched horizontally so the M3 actually looks wider than it should. I'll reserver judgement on the looks until I see a proper picture of the car.

Awesome. This is the first video I've seen of the new M3... should be an amazing car. It's very strange to hear the V8. I keep expecting to hear the straight six.

Makes we want to go down to the BMW dealership and test drive a Z4 M Coupe.

I think the V8 is going to make it a little heavy, but perhaps its lightweight. I still think it would have been nice if it had a tuned up version of the 335's engine. Would have cut down on production costs as well.

Thanks. Yeah I kinda like the sedan better, so I'm hoping they are going to have a sedan model M3 as they did in the past.

the problem with just tuning the 335 engine is that it wouldn't be a 'true' M... similar argument can be made for the US E36 M3, like mine... we got the shaft, all in the name of emissions.

I agree. I was looking at the 328/335 in pictures and thought it looked funny, but on BMW boards they all swear it just photographs funny. I finally saw one in person this weekend it's not just the way it photographs. Once you get past the door everything looks too stretched. The car is about a foot too long imo. It also doesn't help that they thinned out the rear end. It violates low overhang, chunky proportions that I expect to see in a euopean car. The sedan looks perfect though, especially with an AC Schitzer kit on there

It looks kinda like a 7 series from behind. Same tail lights or trunk or something. Sure sounds good though.
