Interesting shape from a packaging point of view and its a 'nice' sound as such. Compared to a Wankel it at least uses a 'known quantity' technology for the piston sealing so it may well have a future.

But the bummer is - ancillary belts on the front of the engine are going to interfere with the front loaded spark plug wires so all water pumps / aircon etc are going to have to spin off the rear presumably. Wierd!

Has hi-compression like a SkyActive with those benefits, the sinusoidal wave motion is nature’s own rhythm for everything in existence, and it's smooth to boot. One of these new engine possibles is likely to catch on if it can prove noticeable improvements vs the std reciprocating IC engine.
