Drive - Chris Harris - FT-86 Video
One of the best motoring journos has 20 minutes with the ft-86 at Jarama, Spain ... skids included:

For people who may not know Chris Harris. He was doing videos for Autocar. Then was part of the best motoring project ever: Drivers Republic. Worked at Evo for a bit and not does videos for Drive a largely forgettable youtube channel (except the aforementioned Harris and Leo Parente] and writes for pistonheads a uk based motoring website.
P.S
Harris's 997 GT3 4.0 hibernation video is motoring nirvana distilled:

There is certainly a large contingent of "Harris is self absorbed **** who is employed Porsche..." out there and there is some truth to that.
But imho the man can drive, produces some of the best videos/reviews and is generally a proper petrolhead. Running a 4.0 on journo's budget (even if that budget is larger than most journos) takes a certain degree of commitment.

Also, calling out Ferrari, the biggest name in da business the way he did, gave me personally allot of respect for him. In his line of work to do that takes some *****.
Now that's a pretty strong statement. Factual as well.
Not that I care that much about Harris but can you kindly outline how "he was sacked at every place he worked at".
He left Autocar for DR which imho was the best enthusiast geared projected up to now. When DR died, he got hired by Evo which he left for PH\Drive.
AutoCar and Harris confirmed his move at the time and Harry Meltcafle confirmed as much when he left Evo.
But I may be wrong... So would love to see what evidence you dug up.
I don't remember where he was before Evo but am pretty sure he did not get sacked.
Him not getting sacked is also logical, his "Chris on Camera" at Auto car was very successful. He got the top assignments at Evo and DR as I said before was great (I have not heard a single person who cares about cars, track, racing say otherwise).
People may like different things. He is a bit of a **** to borrow a British term and allot of people don't like him for that. I don't really care about that. Love his vids and as I said before he can drive.
Anyone who gathers his level of popularity in the "car entertainment" business is going to be accused of being a hypocrite that's the nature of the beast.
Did you guys actually watch the video or is your dislike for Harris so strong it does not matter what he does?
Richars Meaden, Jethro Bovington and Steve Suttcliffe (Harris' mate and his antidote) are good and more subtle than Harris.
Cheers
Yo CB, thanks for posting the video. Had some great content and camera work, especially the shot over his left shoulder, that confirms, as I'd hoped, that the GT-86 is setup to be driver's car.
I don't give a damn about who Chris Harris is or what his motivations are... that's the kind of video I want to see about a car I haven't had the chance to drive. Good stuff, man.
