i dont really watch it much, but it seems its dominated by Supras, Skyline GT-R, Z and NSX. I see a ferrari lamborghini once in a while, but i dont think ive ever seen a RX7 or RX8 race car.

cool, nice to see some FDs. are there any mazdas in the GT500 class? i dont think its too hard to make 500whp on a FD when they have like a million dollars to spend

 

unfortunately no, no rotaries race in the GT500 class... ask me why, i have no clue

 

ive yet to see a gt 500 mazda for some reason no one a really try attacking gt500 with a mazda. as far as mazda themselfs entering a car in jgtc nope but other mazda tuners like re enter there own cars. i belive this is the reason why u dont see a mazda in gt 500 because there is no major factory backing from them to do this

 

Aaparadrink sponsors them among others, I believe the cars are tuned by RE Amemiya (and maybe built and owned?).

Nope, Mazda is only interested in putting up shows with the spotlight at Honda cars. No love for their own creations. I don't know what's wrong with them.

 

There was a RX8 in the GT300 class. It even crashed out in the scicane at the Calf Speedway event last Dec.
Edit: I was mistaken. It was the RX7 that I was thinking about.
