do any of you guys happen to own a DC5? or at least driven one? if so how are they?

 

You mean the Acura RSX Type-R, 6spd 220hp 2.0L (~2000cc, they claimed 210hp/143ft-lb but in actuality it was 220) redlining @ 8100rpm? Yes, my friend had one, they are fine but my RX-8 kept up with it just fine. It comes down to the driver.

 

I doubt he had a DC5 Type-R as they weren't sold in North America. I'd skip the DC5 and get a DC2 Type-R...oh wait, I did do that.

DC5 is more luxury, if that's what you're into. Nice little cars though.

 

I believe you're correct, he had a RSX-S not R. So maybe the 210hp is for the S and 220 was for the R. Either way.

 

DC5 is awesome man. With a K-pro, RH, CAI, Exhaust you can easily put down enough to laugh at RX-8s and S2ks on the straights, and kill both in MPG even worse!

Problem is I LOVE white on those cars, and the 05-06 white ones have that horrible tan interior with no option for black available standard.

i was going to get a type-s...but then i saw the 8! bye bye rsx.

 

Very nice FWD car with a weird looking interior.
