Crossfires @ $3000 off MSRP

Looks like the public's not going for the Crossfire.
Week one $5,000 over MSRP

Week two "Well we can get close to MSRP"

Week three (See advertisement)

Dealer still has all three inventory cars unsold

It's not suprising... a subpar car with a premium price tag = not a good seller, specially when the brand name isn't one of an 'elevated' status like BMW or Mercedes.

I saw one on the road last week. It look TINY - smaller than a Miata (almost). Looks odd, but not too bad from the front.

IMO it is massively overpriced - the folding metal roof on the SLK probably adds $7k-$10k to it's price, as does the three-pointed star (for badge snobs), so the Crossfire should be $15k - $20k cheaper than an SLK320. Currently the SLK320 is $45k and the Crossfire is $35k - it needs to be under $30k to sell.

LOL :p

Its already overpriced and since its an American brand that pretty much means automatic rebates.

I have no idea why anybody would buy one of those in light of its competition

I test-drove a Crossfire a few weeks ago and was told that the price was just over $40k. I like the look of the car, but its performance is nothing special. I would never pay over msrp for one.

If they were in the $30-35k they would be a little more interesting. I like the looks but $40k+, yeah right.
