you get what you pay for with car covers.
What are you looking for? Outdoor cover ? Rain protection?

www.covercraft.com is where I got my outdoor cover and most recently my indoor cover. Take a look at their chart and it'll give you an idea of what might suit you.
One thing to keep in mind, a lot of those generic covers or ebay covers are terrible about ventilation so mold can grow in them and the material isn't always the greatest so you're susceptible to scratching.

just something to think about.

Just searching ebay I found some covers for less than $50, but as Jedi said you get what you pay for.

There is also a oem rx8 cover for $160 buy it now and $99 bid there, thats $100-160 off dealership price.

Maybe we should change the name 'General Automotive' to 'Unrelated to RX8'. The newcomers seem confused about what goes here.

I'm a little bit confused too

Try Wal-Mart. They're cheap.

I would just go with a walmart cover, they cant be more than $30. The Target near me has car covers on clearance right now so they are extra cheap.

If highway can sell you fitted cover for cheap that would be nice also. Theres that same one on ebay for the 99 bid and $160 buyout brand new.

I wouldn't bother going for cheap single layer Walmart or equivalent covers. You will do more damage covering it with a cheap cover than keeping it uncovered. I want planning ong ettig a Covercraft but they did not stock one for the appearance package, so I have to look else where. Perhaps Coverking or California Cover will do. If you are going to invest in a car cover, do it right.

SNTP: what cover are you looking to get from covercraft? I've owned two of their covers, never selected 'appearance package' or even made mention of it and it fit just fine over my MS wing and appearance package.

I should note, I only pull the cover down to the top of the exhaust tips so as to not charcoal the cover if the car has been driven recently.
I did that once, not fun....

avoid the cheap car covers, you'll simply scratch up your car.

I had the Covercraft Noah in mind. Before I finalized the order, I contacted Covercraft concerning fitment if I have the appearance package and they said they do not have a Noah for appearance packages. I am not sure how reliable that statement is from Covercraft, but I was enough for me to not order a cover from them for now .
