Old School RX-7 for sale and its blue too $850. marked down from $900. Clean in and out. Well for the year anyway lol but I have no idea what year it is I'm looking on ebay right now and its older than a 1988. On the back dead center is a RX-7 badge anyone know that year?
I'll try to keep looking on line for pix online.
I'm going to see it Wed what should I look for guys?

If i were you... have a local Rotary Head go look at it with you. A car that old is a big gamble... so you need to know as much as possible about it before buying.

well the body looks to be in great shape. but he is saying that it is a project car, so be prepared to sink more $$$ into it than your initial purchase price.

I called the guy today and he sold it. The buyer is driving around with the sellers phone # on the back window lol

RX7CLUB.... 1st gen section... read stickies... Looks like a SA (before the updated FB) 1st gen RX7 with a 13B swap isntead of the 12a that it came with. A great project car to start with... extremely light, nimble, can be made very quick with very little money, lots of potential. i wouldnt pay over 1k for it because of the chassis mileage.

 

SO? they dont make sports cars like that anymore... why do you think people love them so much?... pfft.

Different models came with different brakes. he cant go for a 4 wheel disc brake swap which is easy or a 5 lug 4 disc brake swap. You're just spitting **** out of you mouth and you don't even know it. Slow? yes it may be slow stock (its the ******* 80's what do you expect? take a look at the GSL-SE with the 13B n/a stock... that thing is pretty damn fast for a N/A), but 2-3k bucks and you'll be pulling on most "sport" cars you'll bump into.

You could save yourself a lot of headaches and $$$ if you use that $850 to
upgrade your 8... Say for instance: strakes, fog lights, side aeroflares, etc...
You could get all kinds of cool used stuff here and on ebay..

I've got a 67 Stingray that I've owned for 21 years. I love it and I hate it...
I've probably spent more money on her then I've paid for my home over the years.
"If" you "must" have one of these old beaters, go into it with a mind-set that its a P.O.S.
That way when you start dropping big bucks into it you won't feel so bad.
