Confirmed RX- 9 in winding road?

Anyone member of winding road? Just found the article with title: Revealed 2012 Mazda RX-9. Mayb someone post it b4 in other topic, but i didnt saw it in this media section topic, so i open this new thread. If it is a repost, then you all can delete it, don't waste spaces on a new topic where its already posted by others. ^^

I experienced problem on the picture of the rx-9, it supposed to be in the page uploaded, somehow it didnt appeared on the save copy (i save it as picture), so i upload it separately... I am not a rx-8 owner right now (cuz no money, lol), just a fan of rx-8 and other rotary cars. ^^ finally sorry for the poor english, hope you all can understand what i wrote, haha. ^^

This sure looks like a real car instead of a Photoshoppe chop. Yes, this was put together with drawing tool(s), but it has conceptual integrity.

If it's FI, I am sooooooo there!

interesting how their artist managed to merge the rx-8, kabura some lexus and some nissan into that one drawing.

this isnt a repost as i havent seen that particular article yet. but it is just winding roads musing and speculation pured onto a page. funny they mention the aston martin, because i think their pic looks nothing like the vantage

thanks ong wei ping

I don't think it could be called an "RX" anything without a rotary. I find it interesting that they think it would be a six-speed transmission when Mazda just showed a 7-speed dual clutch in the last concept car. Perhaps this was written before that, however. I'm also not all that keen on it being larger than the RX-8. All the rumors I've currently read about this new RX car is that it will be lighter than the RX-8 by about 200 lbs. (as a goal--who knows if they'll meet that goal), and have slightly smaller dimensions.

That's pretty sweet looking! I could see that as an RX-8 update as well. Stretch it a bit, nice bobcat rear end, and retaining what I like about the front but adding some different character.

I haven't read the article (yet) but the pics looks awfully nice. I'm sure it's just an artist rendering but kinnda a nice mix of cars thrown in there.

This is a fanciful photoshop and nothing more, I can assure you of that. Our dedicated workers are already working day and night in secrecy assembling the newest rotary automobile, and it does not look like this. The rear of the car shown here is particularly laughable. It looks like the unholy offspring of an Oldsmobile Alero, a Chrysler Crossfire, and a mountain goat. The dedicated Mazda stylists would never blaspheme the RX name with such an abomination as this.

No, I can promise you that the rear of the real car will be far more attractive. It will inspire lust in all who view it. In all truthfulness, it is only a matter of time before we see an epidemic of burned genitalia at hospitals across the nation, as car enthusiasts consumed with lust attempt to copulate with the new RX-9.

That's what I was thinking. The rear looks like crap. I like the current design much better.

oh... i also hope that its not the real one, i still prefer the 4 seater rx-8, dun wan to have a rear seat that is small in size which will be unsuitable for adult seat, thanks tp everyone who give your opinions and attention to this topic. ^^ Hope to get money faster to own a rotary sports car and also hope that the rx-9 would be 4 seater like the 8! 2 seater also good but i prefer 4 seat, no offense to 2 seater fans. ^^

LAst but not least, thank you to Zoom44 for the compliment! It really let me feel well when getting response from web administrator!

The article says 6 speed twin clutch.

Im not sure I like it. It doesnt look like a Mazda. Its just a mash up of 5 or 6 different cars. Swap out the headlights for the new 3 and 6 style and then, maybe.

Not sure I am feeling this design... Agree with Eviltwinke; it does not look RX enough.... Reminds me of the result of a one night stand between a RSX and a 350z...
