I watched it, I wanted more out of it. A lap with the Stig etc. But, Clarkson is in love with it. I read his article on it and it's evident how much he likes it. Every review I have read has been positive, even in the handling department. A lot of people eating their words after saying it's too heavy to handle.

Great episode! I really love that show... That's an absolutely amazing piece of engineering, and a worthy "successor" to the title of World's Fastest Car. What was it... 10 radiators? Enough power to burn it's entire fuel supply in 12 minutes... the list goes on.

Gotta ask, though... Could a $1.7 million (or whatever) Veyron completely dominate against a ~1000hp TT viper, turbo/SC'd 'vette, an Enzo, or any other comparably powered car? Are you really getting the performance you'd be paying that absolutely insane price for?

 

Maybe not dominate. I can't even fathom the Veyrons speed, let alone, compare it to other 1000hp cars. But, for a total 1000hp package, I doubt you'll find anything that compares. Between luxury, technology, build quaility, the Bugatti seems amazing.

 

Great episode. I LOVE when they do things like that and the Veyron is simply amazing.

 

well for an indication on how damn fast it is, Clarkson said that if you let a Mclaren F1 start and get up to 120mph before setting off in the Veyron, the Veyron would hit 200mph before the Mclaren, now thats just insane. and 0-60 in 2.5, thats what.... about a second quicker than an Enzo? Its performance is unbelievable

top gear is probably THE best motoring tv show ever imho.
believe it or not the engine is supposedly rated at around 3000bhp!!!, but loses 1000 through cooling (with 10 rads im not suprised ) and another 1000 through the transmission (again not suprising)
