bmw i328
Test drove one briefly last night, sedan model. Nice riding car, greating steerng wheel feel but not that much softer a ride then my gt rx8 model plus it actually felt just a drop smaller so far as width goes. Was really looking to test drive a sport wagon, as bmw likes to call them but they seem to be very very had to find on dealer lots locally in tampabay fl. Just as well anyway since they do cost a fair amount of money when purchased new.
Sedan is not enough to make me want it though maybe if the wagon was bigger it would be worth considering. Thinking front half is just the same as a sedan model and only the wagon part in back behind the back seats is larger so no extra room in front were it would be nice, a bit too snug as it is presently I feel.
Maybe a used 5 series in a wagon model (if made).

No I don't think the 328i (sorry I typed i328) has enough to make it a better replacement for my rx8. If one were to be making a new purchase instead of a trade-in then maybe though I would have second thoughts on now big it is inside. Just does not seem big enough width wise. Back seat is ok but tight I thought and even though there is leg room back there it is still tight for the shoulders due to the side booster of the seat.
Rx8 back seat provides more relaxed fit for your back and shoulders though the rx8 driver seat back does not have the nicely shaped concaved cut out which allows more room for rear passanger legs.
It was a fun test drive though short. Still would like to hope in a 328i sport wagon just to compare it to the sedan.
I would like to drop down to just one vechile but really don't see anything out there that would do it for me...well at least at a fair price. Want a fair amount of storage like my highlander with sporty ride and great steering the rx8 offers but at a reasonable price point that is hard to find I feel. Well that plus ok mpg. Not willing to drop down to some 18mpg city ride. The good mpg was one of the reasons to check out the beemer, seems that inline 6 cyc they have in it is very sweet.
Will wait to see what the new toyota venza drives like when it comes out later this year. Not hoping my beath on that one being a winner though but would be willing to give up a bit of storage space (venza has less then the highlander) to get sporty ride.
Life is ok as though and I'm ok with the rx8. Would just be better if I was retired and had more time to drive it on road trips now and then or just one car that combined the best of both worlds.

hate the looks, the trunk line looks like it's smashed down or something.
