BLING BLING the entire car?
Despite the "dubs" and the quad exhaust, I don't think this is helping Mercedes shake the image of the SL as a "secretary's car" ...
Also, I want a picture of the other side. I want to see if it has a chrome gas cap or not!

Dills - Although the comment was tongue in cheeck, thanks for the horrific shot of the other side of the car. I almost hesitate to comment, "I wonder what it looks like with the top up ..."

In all honesty, I was playing off the stereotype of the SL and SLK as "chick cars." As a fan of Team McLaren Mercedes and a former Miata owner (perhaps the largest victim of the "secretary's car," "chick car" or "gay car" stereotype of the modern age), I can say I don't endorse this sort of ignorant thought.
However, the SL and SLK have been heavy, softly sprung cruisers in the past, and have had the "chick car" image associated with them. Females purchased 60% of the last model year of the previous generation SLK before they made it more "manly" by making the hood resemble the McLaren F1 car and the SLR McLaren.
Anyhow, that's why I thought it was so funny to see a SL with glitter paint treatment and fuzzy seat covers.
In the politically incorrect guide to car owners, I'd have to say the C230 would be a "new money" car - Looks like a Mercedes, badges like a Mercedes, but doesn't drive or cost like a Mercedes.
