This gallery over at Autoblog is a complete look at the Hakaze from sketches of various interior and exterior treatments to Computer models to realworld clay and foam exterior and interior bucks. Includes some pics of actual chassis work. Designers going over material choices . amazing collection- Mazda spent allot of time documenting the process.

Basically from concept to real vehicle.

I really hope they don't make this, they have for CUV's already. Where is the Kabura or large sedan or convertible 6?

Yea I was eyeballing how they were doing the custom bodywork layup... pretty interesting. Nice group 'family' photos too of the creators. At least we'll recognize and know who's to blame if it gets a go.

I thought this other entry on that site http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/22/c...m-which-to-ch/ was more what's on the mind of Mazda enthusiasts everywhere, to wit

"The well-known zoom-zoom tag-line in every Mazda commercial is being tested by a flood of crossover vehicles that don't exactly fit the company's sporty persona."

damn straight

No Paul...
We have never had any Pontiac models here as brand new RHD.
GMH General Motors Holden control ALL of GM products, most of our small cars by GM are just imported re-badged Opels..like the Astra, Barina, Captiva (SUV).

The only car that is made in Australia by GMH is the New VE Commodore/G8..
I understand you guys WILL be getting our Commodore Utes/Pickups with V6 and V8....don't know under what brand, Chevrolet, Pontiac, ?,GMC

What has stopped them previously were your Auto Unions and Import Tariff's, but now we have a free trade agreement you should see them next year.

Car/SUV thingy still looks like they hired Hotwheels and Tonka to design it for 'em, if I was still 6 to 8 years old I'd kill to have this.

Yep, lots of local talk.
GMH Here has been trying for many years to get into your market with LHD Utes.
The New VE (G8) design Ute will be released soon here.
