All-New Mazda3 5-door Hatchback
Yes, I think (pretty sure) the dual exhaust pipes are on the 2.5 4 cylinder (which the silver sedan is ) , like the new Euro/Australian Mazda 6 2.5 which has dual round pipes.
The smaller 2.0l has a single pipe.
Are you saying the hatch with a 2.5 will have duals (Not that I want them to)?
Paul.
The new 3 definitely has the styling cues from the Taiki, toned down a lot though.
For all the knockers, what do they expect, how would they design the front given US design laws require the high hood, roof and trunk line, with high belt line (door) position to match the rest of the front and rear sections.
The opening is Mazda's 5 point grille.
Even if your bring in the "verticals" on the grille IN you would have a larger painted area between fogs and grille.
Then it would look out of balance and not in proportion.
At least we have designers who take brave steps, rather than the plain old BORING features on most other brands...
Look at some of your Acura (Honda) cars for ugly!

Mazda Stops Production At Hofu Plant.
I know it's not the correct place to post this info, but did not think it was worth a new thread.

Mazda to Idle Hofu Plant for Two Days
Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to suspend production at its Hofu Plant No.1 and Hofu Plant No.2 for two days, from December 25-26, 2008.
This action is in line with the decision to reduce Mazda’s production in Japan by 73,000 units in the second half of fiscal year 2008 due to the rapid slowdown in the global sales environment.
Note: The Mazda Hofu plant is their newest Japanese factory opened at the start of the 1980's. It produces local and export Mazda 3 and Mazda 6's.

That's from a Mazda Media Press Release, Japan, I always thought they had extended leave and sort of a union strike once a year being in the month or March for about a week...I think..
Yeah Charlie, I don't know why Mazda would issue a PR over a 2 day stoppage?
