My Protege had a huge penchant for understeering, but the steering was weighted pretty well. My girlfriend's 3 is definitely better dynamically but feels much bigger.

Well you can always take a quick trip to europe when it goes on sale and ship it back here to US.... and register as a Mazda 3............. :P I've seen a couple of RHD skylines and silvias driving around in my town...

We'll never see that chassis here. this new Mazda3 as well as the next Focus, both European and U.S. , will be on the NEXT generation chassis.

This car will be hot hot hot. I'd like to see that T5 in a Mazdaspeed3 but Ill put my money on a different engine.

Not to mention that the European Focus, US Mazda 3 and Volvo T5 all share (minus a few tweaks) the same C1 chassis. It doesn't surprise me that they will continue sharing that platform.

I love the engine choice, I love the design...will I be getting a 3 in the future

Hmmm it looks like a cross between a Honda Accord and a Toyota Corolla.

I like the previous style better but it could grow on my like the new version of 8.

The bumper piece above the grill looks like lips with lipstick applied.
