I read somewhere that Honda is going back to the drawing board with the new NSX because it didn't get the reaction they were hoping for.

Anyone else hear this?

^Yup, I heard that, too. I don't like it, for one. Not nearly as "exotic" as the last generation- not mid-engine, not as lightweight. They said they want to compete with the Lexus LF-A concept that is front-engine, and the Nissan GT-R. Mid-engine is what makes an NSX special, and not just another Honda, IMO.

BTW; that Camaro RS concept looks hawt

The rear is nice but the front looks like the last generation Pontiac Firebird. The NSX was a lightweight, "semi-exotic", mid engine sports car, this one is a bit too bulky looking. Also, the last NSX was priced well over $100K, and if Honda is thinking of selling it cheaper to compete with the $70-$80K sports cars like the upcoming GT-R, then I think it will loose some of it's "rareness" since a lot more people are going to be able to buy it.

Honda just needs something from the 70-100k price range and it needs to be special and have that added sumthing-sumthing that will make those who would buy the Lexus or Nissan or hell even the Chevy' high end sports car rethink their position. The Mid-engine yes is nice and classic but if they can't make it work and handle and put out enough hp to compete with the others in its class it will be a worthless endevor.

That and they need it to have that look of being a Acura something that will set it apart from the flock. But oddly enough to me have a look that will also make me do a double take and say "Thats a Acrua?!?" give it that same low to the ground stance and somewhat stretched out body and that wide stance and they could have a winner. The picture they showed looked like a Audi R8 rejected idea to me.

That would be pointless if it was. Just like the new Supra having a V6 and not a straight 6...lame.

you mean well under $100k right?
that thing is hideous. it's a bad mix of the firebird's hood and the R8 front bumper
car design has been getting more bland since the new millenium

I must say that both of these look pretty damn ungly. that is an old picture of the camero anyway. but the nsx concept needs A LOT of help.
