826 HP Evo 8
on the vid he claims to have the worlds fastest evo8 but here in the uk we have a fella with 841bhp and 635lbft. he had also managed a high 9 quarter mile before it was fully set up.

my mistake, the fella im on about actually has an evo9 with 841bhp and an apparently very useable powerband as he wants to use it on tracks as well. he owns a company called norris designs here in the uk and some of his past cars include:
- 511wbhp 1.8 s13 200sx
- 587bhp evo5
- 771bhp evo7
and a conservative:
- 612bhp evo8.
we also have another company called rc developments who produced a 930bhp evo6.
i dont have any pics of dynos or such a like but im sure if yu get in touch with them im sure they could help you out.

It's a total trip to watch that dyno pull from the driver seat. The gauge cluster is of course the same as in my car, but even the aftermarket Defi boost gauge I also have is mounted in the same place. I've never pegged the damn thing though...much less even hit 25psi. I do not however have another .3L and a GT42 under the hood. Jesus that's insane.
I thought I started a thread about this car in here a few weeks back but it looks like the mods deleted it or something. The driver of this car is a lawyer with deep pockets. This is sorta like a rebirth of sorts for his Evo. Previously it had a GT35 kit in it and was all over the internet blowing the doors of big block muscle cars, SVT Cobras, Viper and Vettes. I believe he was running about 30psi and putting down about 610whp. He finally lost to juiced big block Camaro that some hick rolled off the back of a trailer. Here's some runs with the old turbo...

I guess so. Muscle-car guys must hate losing to a turbocharged I-4, even if it's had all that money put into it. I wonder if that Old Camaro was carbureted. It probably had a total cost less than what the Evo-guy has spent on mods alone. Oh, well. Fast is fast. That Evo's crazy as Hell, though.

Pretty sick. How long can that engine last under 42lbs of boost? I'd guess he has a boost controller to really cut it back when he's daily driving - if it's used for daily driving.
I don't think losing to that old Camaro dragster was anything to be embarrased about. I mean the guy did back it off a trailer and even then still refused to race the Evo from a dig. That thing was a purpose built drga racer running nitrous. That Evo is great in a straight line but is also handles like...well...an Evo.
No doubt. I'm not a big trailer bitch lover myself. I like the "drive to the track and drive HOME from the track" kind of cars. The engine in that Camaro probably weighed as much as the Evo, anyway.
