The E36 M3's are not nearly as luxurious as you might think. You need to see one close up. The interior, although nice for 1999, is mediocre compared to the average interior on most $20k cars made in 2005.

True, but what other suggestion do you have in the same price range as the m3? I for one think that it is a classic looking car (when well taken care of). I also think that you and I both know that nothing is concrete for hardhitter and I believe he is very indecisive.

I'm probably not the best person to give advice on this subject, seeing as I drive a $30k car with a $10k rental car interior.

Maybe one of the new MBZ C230 Kompressors? They are pretty quick, decently agile, and very comfy by all accounts. Maybe a VW R32 if you can find one for the right price. That car provides an excellent balance of power, handling, and luxury in an affordable package. Other than that, most everything is FWD and/or too expensive.

Why not get another RX-8?

DARKMAZ8 11-15-2005 07:55 PM

How about an integra type r....?

LOL... R32 and luxury dont mix.

Why not a "leftover" GTO or a used G35c?

The G35c has more space and a better interior than the Z.

The GTO is ho hum outside, but a beastly motor and decent handling. The interior has been said to be pretty well done.

Price wise... a used GTO is pretty damn cheap... like around $20k cheap.

BlueRenesis82 11-15-2005 08:18 PM

damn, just buy a new GTO. They are cheap to begin with and a ton of power. Torque too!

Japan8 11-15-2005 08:25 PM

I know... that's why I recommended a "leftover" at the beginning. Just search on eBay and see the dealers that are posting... like $23-26k brand new.

BlueEyes 11-15-2005 08:28 PM

The GTO was mentioned on the first page. Either he didn't see it, or ignored it. I think they're sweet ass cars.

Steiner 11-15-2005 08:29 PM

It's FWD

RotaryManiac 11-15-2005 08:30 PM

I'm talking about the Golf R32, not the Skyline R32. The R32 is more luxurious than the E36 M3. It's not a Jaguar, but it certainly has plenty of creature comforts and an excellent fit and finish. A good friend of mine has one and I've always been impressed at how luxurious the interior is...quiet, ergonomically sensible, yet aggressive where it needs to be.

BTW...I was talking about the Integra Type R as being FWD, not the GTO.

The reason why I took out the GTO is because it's a V8. I pay about 1600/yr for my insurance on the 8 which was considered a 4 door sedan (teenager with a clear history and good grades), after the accident, my insurance is going to jump to around $2600/yr my Dad says. I have AAA.

G35c is the most expensive, the most that I have seen used has been $28,000+

I highly doubt I'll be able to get a V8, and it's going to eat gas more than my 8 won't it?

BlueEyes 11-15-2005 09:04 PM

No. 17 city, 25 highway.

Better than what? FWD (stab and steer) is perfect for my mom and sister, but I would rather staple my balls to my thigh then ever go back to FWD...no more wheel hop, spinning tires, torque steer, and all the other problems you'll inherently have when the wheels putting all of the power to the ground also steer the car. After about 260whp (and, more importantly, probably 280wtq) my old SRT-4 was about as useless from a stoplight as birth control in a trailer park.

Hehe...didn't know about the other stuff. I was just going off the dual tips.

DARKMAZ8 11-15-2005 09:09 PM

Yeah but the type r doesn't have too much torque steer like the srt4. It's actually a pretty fun car to drive. Great handling and love that vtec. probably gets pretty good mpg aswell.

I just figure that hardhitter might wanna consider something other than rwd. awd would be good but more $$$$$

DARKMAZ8 11-15-2005 09:25 PM

How about a 6 spd cl type s?

oh yeah fwd.
