6 most overrated cars and trucks
http://www.askmen.com/toys/cars_150/151_car_review.html
Seems like more of a personal rants then an actual automotive opinion. I can understand the pricing opinion on the BMW 3-series, and can see how the Porsche suv will enter the article, but having the Viper srt-10 on there is completely personal opinion based on the sales and the flare slowly leaving its name. As for the prius and the durango i could really care less about how they stack up, but i believe anyone of us would enjoy a range rover. You simple can't complain about its over 70K price, the average buyer for it doesn't.

Bummed, but bring on OU!
I agree with #1 and #6. I also disagree with the Range Rover being on there. I hate SUVs, no I despise them. But the Range Rover is absolutely beautiful on the inside, looks good on the outside, and can actually perform off road. The Rover dealership in Jacksonville had their own offroad test drive course. A friend and I got a test run in one, and it performs well. Not many other SUVs can claim the same, particularly luxury ones. I'd feel much more comfortable taking the $70k RR offroading than a stinking H2. That's one that should've made the list.

STI overrated?? How can you say that? It's just about the best performing car for the money that you can buy. It's ridiculously fast, rugged, handles well ... are you judging based on looks alone? Ike back me up here.
Hold on darkmaz, I just read your entire list. Now I think you're just kidding. The Z-06 overrated? hehe. The civic sti? I'd love to try one out, and would probably be very happy owning one. Heck, even the regular civics have their appeal. Interesting interior design, absurd resale value, good mileage, and I wouldn't feel guilty putting oodles of miles on it in a very short time. The SRT-4 isn't overrated, as it hardly gets any respect as it is. I've got a friend who has one and he gets ragged on all the time.
Please tell me you're joking!

I would agree that the Cayenne and Range Rover are overrated, the former because the concept of "Porsche SUV" just grates on me and the latter because they're very expensive for an ugly SUV (and I really dislike SUVs in general). I would round out my list with the Lexus ES300 (too much money for a gussied-up Camry), Mercedes C-Class (many, many problems for the money and marque), MINI (fun car, but weak unless you have the Cooper S), and any HUMMER (taking SUVs to an absurd extreme).

Why the hell are you guys talking about pre 1980 muscle cars. This list is about current cars. Don't you realize that time has changed since 1980. The current muscle cars out today are pretty nice.
The corvette and z06, new mustang, and GTO all are great cars in my opinion.
Talk about current cars please, not old cars that hardly anyone owns anymore.

nzarrow... we are... that's the problem. Some people are import car fanboys and can do nothing but insult the American auto industry. Nothing is ever good enough! The LS2 must suck... it's still a pushrod motor, this is 2006 so it had better have overhead cams. It doesn't matter if it's lighter and more compact than BMW's I-6 while putting out more power than even the e46 M3 with similar gas mileage.

Re: The inclusion of the BMW 3-series....
Have you noticed that "worst of"-type lists done by magazine editors always, ALWAYS have at least one choice that doesn't make sense? Especially if they aren't specialist publications, or are music publications....

Yeah, I think we need to get rid of the notion that "muscle" cars can't handle. Not to mention the fact that most of us drive on relatively straight roads 90% of the time anyway.

i agree drdiablo, plus it being the first vehicle in the article seems to lead you to read the entire piece to see what else you don't agree with.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is the SIXTH WORST song EVER? It's worse than Eddie Murphy's "Party All the Time"?
The BMW 3-series is the most overrated car there is?
I smell a bit of sensationalism.
Oh, here's the VH1 list, if you care. The list is similar, but slightly different from, the same list in the Too-Cool-For-The-Room music rag "Blender":
