A 06 Honda Civic.... is FWD no matter which way you slice it. The Civic Si doesn't have much room in back. the 06 Honda Civic's looks... the sedan's aren't so bad, but I'm hating the coupe... looks fat and boring. The Si engine is more peaky than the RX-8 and worst in the dash. The interior would be great if only the dash design didn't look like royal ***. The total deal breaker for me is I hate Honda cars. I've owned two and would like to never make a repeat. I hate the clutch, the shifter, the engine, and I've had reliability issues.

She should have saved them, because they'd be worth a bundle as "backward drivetrain factory rejects."

Like those really old stamps with the accidental upside down picture of an airplane, worth maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars!

Beemer 330's a great car. I'd have a hard time choosing until the money came into the equation.

Just because limepro has an opinion, doesn't make him an idiot.

He bought a C230 for $45,000 and traded it in 6 months later for $22,000. If you go to Edmunds, a C230 with every single available option has an MSRP of $43k inlcuding destination. It's like he just handed his checkbook to the dealership and said "charge me whatever you think is fair".

There is no such thing as a BMW 500 series.
On the contrary, there is no E46 FWD models out in America.

Yep, this thread is making the rounds on the BMW forums now thanks to phroztbyt3's "
umm... hate 2 break it 2 u.. but bimmer is definitely FWD... my mom had 2 of them... 2002.. and 2004." comment.

But I'll have to say, you guys seem like some cool rational members. No "BMWs suck because of this" or "RX8s > all" comments or anything like that. Rational conversation with reasonable insight.

I haven't driven an RX8 ever, although I have heard they are fun to drive and very quick. But I have an '02 330i (sedan) and love it. I know it's not as fast as an RX8, but I think it encompasses and blends well performance with luxury.

Also, you can get an '03 M3 if you look hard enough in the low $30's these days, with decent mileage, if that's really what you're after. You can even find some for under $30k if you don't mind a car with over 50-60k miles. Check Autotrader.

It looks to me the only retards are the BMW owners posting on here who can't figure out that it's one or two guys(most likely not even old enough to drive) talking stupid sh*t that they know nothing about.

Look past the couple stupid comments guys and read the other posts in between which actually make sense instead of coming on here and bashing us.

For the BMW guys(jacobo) that are being cool about this, thank you.

I've driven both, and their simply is no comparison. RX8 beats the 330CI hands down performance wise.

Thanks
i traded my 06 330 for an rx8. i don't miss the 330. the redline and the handling seal the deal. i hate the fuel cut so early on the 330. i hated pulling out and having to shift before i even made the turning lane, and i really hated looking a fool when the thing cut off and did a nose dive. the 330 is good for long trips though. great highway driver. I guess i might still like to have it for that.

Before i got my 8 a few months ago, it was between a 2001 330Ci, and the RX-8. at first i told myself, "i would rather have the bimmer" because i had driven some before, and actually taken a bmw performance driving school. But they were more expensive, and insurance would have been higher, so i started looking alot more at the 8's, and fell in love with them

By far one of the best decisions i've ever made to this day.

Well, the BMW guys win the biggest morons title in this thread... Bumping a thread that's over a year old with some stupid comments from a guy that hasn't posted here in months and doesn't even own an RX-8.

If anyone wants to read some REALLY stupid stuff, go read the kill stories section over on Bimmerforums. They've got guys with 325's beating Quattroportes and ragged out 10 year old 540's taking down new 911 Carreras.

That's why it's called "The Ultimate Driving Machine".
It's the same when you head out to your typical Nissan forum especially my350z.com where their Kill section consists of beating out an STi in the rain and out accelerating the Space Shuttle. Yes, that's with the Pop Supercharger too.
