The turbo 4 version will undoubtedlly be lighter. With some tuning it could be sweet.

They should put it on a diet though, say like 200 lbs lighter.

You know what's going to happen?? When it comes out, people will rush and buy them and they're going to have some huge defect. And I will ALWAYS laugh at a Hyundai...GO ECONOMY CARS! WOOOO!! I really don't the Tiburon seriously either

Sure it looks good... But how will the driveability be? The comfort? The interior quality and design?
All I'm saying is... it's way too early to make assumptions.
Look at what a fail the Saturn Sky was. Of course, these are two completely different companies and hopefully the new Tiburon will not follow the way of the Sky.

agreed, however based on the past 4 recent vehicles to come out by hyundai since 2005... sonata, azera, sante fe, and veracruz. all of these cars have FAR superseded expectations of their arrival. including the veracruz which was consistently reviewed against the lexus rx350 and consistently fucked it up in every category, including interior quality, fit and finish, and ride quality. if the this car is anything like the quality of the others in the lineup it will kick its competitions ***.

^agreed. The refreshed current gen Tibby looks good. Interior is nicer than your average Japanese car. Sure makes the rubbermaid interior 350z looks worse than it is.

I for one won't **** on any company trying to put another well powerd RWD car on the market unitl I get to test drive it.

On another note I have consistantly abused and neglected my 2000 Hyundai Elantra for the past 160k miles and it still starts up and goes without a hitch.

300HP! -No joke. It will give thr "8" a run for the money. Dont we have to put nearly 8K to match that power? News like that makes me wanna jump on the S2000 bandwagon thats been going on lately on this site.

This should be a great inexpensive sporty car. As has been said above, Hyundai's have skyrocketed in their quality/luxury/reliability over the past 5 years. I for one look forward to this car coming out.

I would prefer to ride a bicycle rather than any hyundai on this world.
It's a matter of belief.

True that also.... It sucks the kind of reputation that Hyundai has been getting from different consumers, its still, to this day instilled within everyones mind that Hyundai's are "cheap" cars or that their just emulating the Japanese. This could be true in different ways, but Hyundai's come a very, very, long way since the '80's.

besides the wierd looking exhaust and slightly overdone ground effects the profile of the car looks amazing and the overall package looks really tempting.......has a lo of potential IMO.......and I'm sure people who have a stigma about hyundai will get over it quickly when it flys past you. And just throwing this out there for the people who are bashing hyundai, have you not kept an eye on the way most people talk about the RX8.....everything from quality, engine, drivetrain, economy, overrating issues......why is it that every time I go for a drive some punk in a civic tries to race me.....becasue most people think the rx8 is not as good as we know it is......I'm pretty sure that if Hyundai keeps improving and bring out this car is will be more than a good deal. WHo really cares if its a hyundai, debadge it then. If they make the car handle at all its a done deal for me.....but I will wait one production year....which I think is just a basic rule of thumg for any new car.

The thing is, this car will likely handle worse then a mustang, after all, it's a hyundai... It'll push and roll like a beotch.

Now is it just me or does anyone else notice a lot of people in hyundai elantras or sonatas that try to race, and even my friend in his gf's rx-7 had someone in an sonata try and race him. He didn't care to race them and they flew past him giving him the finger, wtf hyundai people?
