IS 250 F vs. Rx-8 R3

IS 250 F vs. Rx-8 R3.......I think it would be a great test. The article highlights the Is 250's upgraded handling. I'm just wandering if the rx8 r3 could beat it in a comparison test for handling and acceleration...i think it could. I thought the article was interesting. It said the Lexus was just a turbo away from greatness. I love the 8 but that seems to be the Same scenario, it needs more power...haha http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...geId=158922..I think i would still take the R3 over the IS. what do you guys think?

Different cars and purposes. IS is more 3-series, C-class, Mazda6 segment... not RX-8 which is sport oriented. if you value driving thrills, the IS will be put you to sleep. Used IS350 > new IS250.

The new 2010 Mazda3 2.5 is supposed to be able to beat that time at 7.1 secs.

Most new Toyotas and Lexus have that stupid complicated cartridge-type oil filter. For that reason alone I wouldn't buy one, as I like to do my own basic maintenance.

IS250 has more "classy" feel, better quality interior. Handling wise is normal, in the other words, nothing special. Power is like any typical 200-hp range car, rear seats sits better

R3 is better in handling department, interior not as good as Lexus of course. Still seats 4, more "unique" on the road.
