2009 Mustang Spy Shots

http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/01/...-ford-mustang/

looks like they took some of the awesome cues from the Giugiaro concept. This should be a winner.

It's not exactly new if all they do is change up some cosmetics.

The current Mustang is not a bad car, compared to the old Fox body models. A few more ponies and updated bodywork pretty much follows the Ford trend on Mustangs.

I actually was Mustang shopping, but couldn't find one with MT, when I found my 8 !

Better, but they didn't fix the butt that never ends problem. This is a freshening...that's all.

Better....but did they find a way to cut 100 pounds off the old girl?

I like it.. just seems like a nartual progression of the look. Atleast if what they are hinting at what it will finaly look like.

They will certainly change it up a bit before the Camaro and Challenger hits. Here's your proof.

I was part of one of those public opinion things automakers do to try to guage interest in new designs. The focus of this one was the redesign of the Mustang. It was a nice looking car. They went really retro on the interiors, and added some nice changes to the exterior. The biggest changes were the headlights, the tail lights, and they added a crease from the top of the front wheel arch back and up along the door...very similar to the way the BMW 3 series has a crease right there, but not as pronounced. The also changed the hood line and added a nice looking hood scoop and little things like that. Over all it was very tastefully done. I liked it.

^I agree, the Camaro is just....well, MEAN!!!!!

But...will it stay true to the concept? That's the question...as for the Mustang, good update but the butt issue really irks me.

Agreed. I think this is why Ford is in a hurry to modernize the Mustang's retroness.

At NAIAS the Chevy reps said that the Camaro Coupe will not be built until first quarter 2009. Most likely that means it will be sold as a 2010 model. So, yes the Camaro looks nice.....but will you still think so in 2 more years!!!

What is taking so ******* long GM?

Typical turn around for a new platform is 3 years. A very late 08 or early 09 release is probably. GM can't rush this one out but if they can get it out sooner with good quality then of course by all means then.

ah... They changed it to the previous look. It's only a matter of time before the retro goes.

What about vertical doors and italian styling says "american muscle" to you? Plus they still havent gotten rid of the garbage engineering. I f#@king hate rustangs!!!

Do youself a favor: wait for the Challenger or Camaro. Or better yet splurge on a Viper or Ford GT... Best reason not to buy the rustang: the 8 ^.^

Mustangs are like ********.... everyone has one. How many more lights does that POS need? 2 giant fog lights in the center of the grill. Wow. Nice wheel and tire option. Cragars went out of style for a reason... and they are not cool again now.

Every time they do a retro car it is just another reminder that Detroit is out of new ideas.

The 60's and 70's are dead...

MOVE ON.

I agree, except that i'd rather them get it 100% right this time around. The FBody was always faster but flawed in other areas. This car is more important to GM than it seems.
