so i saw one of these in person today in a parking lot, a white one w/ distributor plates. it looked real slick in person. the backlight is very fast and the tail very short, so it looks a bit like a 5-door liftback. it looked real nice, i like it a lot. and it wasn't as big as i thought it'd be
With the flared/raised wheel wells, I agree - a lot of newer sedans are starting to adopt that S series Merc look.
And I'm not sure yet if it's good or bad. The bangled BMWs turned out to be big design faux paux, and I guess time will tell if this does also.

I don't think this new Mazda6 looks too good. I was expecting a huge improvement from the previous MY, but this exterior, along with the rest of the cars specs don't do too much for me. The front of the car is bland..especially with that lower lining on the front bumper..makes it look like it's wearing braces. On the other hand, the back and side profile resemble the Lexus LS...and other Toyotas.
What the hell happened to this idea?

Those diamond style headlights looked great.
Also 6.2 to 60 is pretty disappointing for the V6. 22 city mpg is not too impressive for a four cylinder either, and the V6 manages a weak 17 city and 25 hwy mpg...which is almost as bad as our cars. Almost makes it pointless to buy the s model instead of waiting a couple years for a factory turbo.
Unimpressive

Even more disappointing when it's for a rotary so-called sports car.
Then I guess the camry and accord and sonata are even less impressive, with their 21 mpg, and the malibu with a smaller engine is also 'not too impressive' with 22 mpg as well.
As does the malibu V6, which has showed to get better real world mileage than the camcord; no reason the 6 shouldnt as well. Just more reasons why idiots shouldnt go by EPA ESTIMATES.
Just like the outdated and outclassed rx8.
