Its not bashing, it your opinion that youre entitled to. I love the C6 vette, but Ive always been a Mustang guy.
Thats the American way, you either grow up a 'stang or a 'vette guy.........oh and then there those weird MOPAR guys..J/K

I love both the stangs' and the vettes, and even the mopars too! I just love cars period, I'm stoked to see Ford getting back into the mix, for a while it was lame watching dodge build all the cool stuff, now the z06 is coming, and there is lots of cool other stuff on the horizon, great time to be a car lover

I hear you on Fords, but this engine/drivetrain is frickin' bulletproof.

... Oh well. Makes sense since it s a quadcab. or extended cab. whatever.
I owned a 02 Mustang GT 2 cars ago. It was the car of my dreams...up until I owned it. Within 1200 miles the car was in the shop for over 30 days. The first time it was in was to fix the transmission because it was grinding going into 2nd gear (I was without the car for 28 days). The second time it was in was to get a totally new transmission. When I dropped it off at the dealership the car lackey--ahem jockey--crashed my car into the outside wall of the maintenance bay. Completely buckled the hood, broke the headlights and the front bumper.
On to the new mustang...they look awesome. I wanted one as soon as they revealed their new design. Then I sat in one at the car show. The interior was cheap. The dash looked less inviting than the earlier versions and the speakers sticking out of the door looked like some highschooler upgraded it. I wasn't impressed.
I think I'll stick with my 51% Ford owned RX-8. This is about as close to Ford as I can stomach.

Browsing around the Ford Media site....

They're introducing a dark grey with lighter stripes for the '06 Ford GT... yummy.

i though ford only owned liek 36% of mazda...? but thye get to make teh decisions b/c they are the largest single gholder of stock in mazda (ie no one person/company owns more shares)?
Yeah but from what I understand, Ford keeps their grubby bean-counting mitts completely off the Miata and RX cars.
I wish GM would buy Mazda from Ford, heh. Mazda could teach them how to make quality, lightweight roadsters and coupes, and GM could maybe help Mazda in the HP department.

I would only buy one of the special edition mustangs, like the Cobra or Saleen, because they are the only way that you will ever stand out among all the other Mustangs. However, I would only buy if they made a dramatically more attractive aftermarket rear end for it. The stock one would prevent me from buying at almost any price.
