Rear active steer? This thing got 4WS?
|
hmm--its about time they changed that spoiler--the G35 has the worst spoiler I've seen, it looks like an afterthought. 4WS--every time I see this feature introduced it turns out to be more of a burden than an assitance--its rarely effective and popular. what NO PICS?
|
call me a geek but i drool over the bluetooth. I hate my blue tooth headset but its the only way to have a phone conversation in the car. Now if i could just talk to my car instead and my friends talk back through the speakers...now thats awesome.
|
yeah, i'd like to see pics of the new rear tailights and wing...
i actually liked the older wing, very clean looking. |
I kinda liked the original spoiler it had...i'm curious to see how this looks though

I'm not sure how HICAS-like the new system is, but it's the same principle. I happen to love it. It let's me take tight corners and long sweepers at a pretty decent clip. Other people flat out hate it and just get it removed from their cars. |
Pics?

Hicas adds weight, that's why people remove them. Honda also tried out similar technology with their older Prelude series.
The whole idea didn't really take off. Not sure why Nissan wants to bring it back again (and Honda). |
the old mazda mx6 had it didnt it?
edit : my friend has a ealry 90's mx6 that he put a turbo motor in, and I know he has 4ws, but im not sure if he swaped it in...i would think it would be fairly difficult to adapt it from another car. |
The JDM Millenia aka Eunos 800 had 4ws as an option. 4ws sucks--it adds weight and becomes more of a hinderance on the drag strip and autocross track. From what I understand from the Z32 guys is that it also adds maintenance cost. I hate the current G35 spoiler it looks like such an afterthought--it doesn't flow with the body at all. I'd take it without a spoiler--but to each his own.

I like the G35 spoiler and the car overall looks great! Before anyone else brings it up...
THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PIC'S! lol |
hmm skyline rear lights maybe?!?!
and wow they actually gave them the memory seats after like 3 years of complaining... good job nissan! i wonder how much this will be? and where are the pics?! |
Feras, I'm totally with you on the Bluetooth. What I would do to have that in an RX8... *drool*
Memory Seats  I love those things... Wonder what this is going to do to the MSRP. I was looking at a G35 last year and with all the options, I was hitting 42,000. This could get scary... |
This will further the G35 from the Z--all this adds weight.

I saw the same info over on www.freshalloy.com in the G35 forum.

Sorry. I'm not down with plagiarism. :D
Anyhoo, Dre, get on The Face Book and join my RX-8 group. |

The whole idea didn't really take off. Not sure why Nissan wants to bring it back again (and Honda). Removing HICAS yields minimal weight savings. HICAS is nothing more than a servo on the rear suspension. |
Memory seats... I guess Nissan/Infiniti is listening to its forum members.

Near as I can tell and Nissan for that matter one would add an electrically driven hydraulic pump, some tie rods, more complex rear suspension knuckles (heavier) to allow pivoting rear wheels, a subframe that has an area to mount this crap, some sensors and a processor to decide what to do and a crap load of wires.
