1970's Opel GT

There is this car at a home close to mine that is coverd with a tarp. Well, the owner left the front uncoverd and it looked like a small Farrari but I still couldn't see the rest of the car.

Well..I finally saw what it was...

I don't know much about it, but it sure is a good looking car.

OK, I need to make more money...I'm starting to feel Lenoish RX8, S4, Opel GT, Vette (stingray & late 60's early 70's), current Vette, upcomming Camaro, etc etc

Who do I think I am...like if I had money (lol)

Awesome little car. They only had a 1.4L but they were perfect cars for v8 swaps. You can find them for dirt cheap because most haven't been kept on good condition. The ones that have been are still only worth a few grand.

Yeah, I hear that their "classic" value is starting to take off.

HAHA, that's my dad's first car. Wow! I will have to show him that. He got that brand new when he was 16 also, just like me and my 8. He said he had an orange color though, and he learned to drive a manual on it. Man, I have to show this to him!

I saw one with a 13B conversion, once upon a time.

Feel free to send any questions my way. By now there isn't much i don't know about an Opel GT My 1970 GT has been with me for 17 years and I do love that car. I am here to get some ideas for converting it to a Renesis motor and IRS. Parts for these cars are actually cheap and i can get anything I want for the car.

I remember checking them out in the early '70s when I was looking for a sports car. We had a lot to choose from then. The one thing that stuck in my mind is that to raise the pop up head lights you had to pull a lever. I do believe it was in this car. Bought an X1/9 instead.
