The front end is cool. The rear is the UGLIEST bumper available for the Z! A round car with a square rear? Nothing on that rear kit even tries to incorporate the round shape into those ugly boxes. The wing is just plain criminal. If I woke up one morning and found that wing on my car--I'd cry. If anything, I like the front and sides...

oh, and the gunmetal Ray's are cool too...it'd be better if they did the door handles gunmetal as well. Or better yet, body-color matched door handles...or better yet, no door handles---oooooh.

2 cents.

Ummm, okay... if you say so.

If you're refering to the center part of the seat then I guess it kinda looks like the 8. Then again, those Z seats have side bolsters so they have that in common with the 8 (and about a hundred other cars) too. FWIW the Z only has that on the driver's side, its designed to facilitate movement of the legs for operation of the clutch, brake and gas pedals. Not neccessary for the passenger side.

+1.

The "penal-lump" found on all of the 8's seats are mainly for show. They are, relatively, flat and there aren't large "cutouts" to either side as found on the Z. The Z's driver's seat feels kinda like a saddle while the 8's seats are flat and even.

2 cents.

mazdaspeed in north amercia only gets FI cars... but japan is mazdaspeed crazy. the true ms8 got more than the mazdaspeed parts we can get here. they got a mazdaspeed mpv there as well. its just that we expect a lot from mazdaspeed. the mazdaspeed rx7 (fc) was kept N/A expect for the gtx and enfini. we just got to calm down and let mazdaspeed do its thing. im happy with my N/A 8 with the few mazdaspeed parts that are available.

Now I have been reading this forum all winter and have seen all the comments like the one above numerous times, but think some need a reality check sometimes or at least go drive a Z for a little while before making such statements. Does the Z understeer? Well most times when I hear of someone losing it in a Z it is the rear that takes them into the curb, wall etc.I have never had a close call with me pushing to hard and the front end being the problem. I have on the other hand came in to hot or modulated the gas pedal poorly and had to save the rear end. Once you learn how to drive it, in and out of corners can be very fast as a particular magazine showed at VIR with the Z having the best time in its money range. Yes the Z is heavy that is abundantly clear, but it also has the TQ muscle to pull that weight better than an 8 has the ability to pull its weight. Z>8. The braking of the 8 is where the weight becomes more an issue. 8>Z. Rear seat in the 8 mkes it more daily usable 8>Z. Sound of the Z is better but that is opinion I know but Z>8. Gas mileage Z>8. Reliability Z=8. Handling 8>Z. Autocrosser 8>Z. Race track if very tight with no hard acceleration zones 8>Z but it might as well be an autoctoss if the track is that tight. Any other track with any decent straight away Z>8. Dragstrip Z>8. Aftermarket support definitely Z>8. Rareness of the car in my area just about equal numbers it seems. Now as far as the Nismo Z is concerned, I think the rear is ugly as well. I believe the 8 and the Z are very comparable cars but will be bought by people with different likes or needs. Which is the better car??? I bought a Z because at the time I did not need a rear seat and loved the driving experience of the roadster. Now that I need another car with a back seat as a daily driver and want to get rid of the P5 and Millenia, the 8 is back on the board.
