Went to the LA Auto show this past weekend and as always I brought along my camera and tripod. (BTW: This will be my first time using imageshack as the host seeing as how I don't want 100+ pics on my photobucket, so help me out/bear with me.) Anyways, got a couple notes on my trip there if anyone's interested, but without anymore delay here are the pics


I'll start off with the Mazda section ^.^ The 8 was trashed but everyone was checking it out. Made me happy that it's still such a "headturner" and I happily answered some questions.

All biases aside (I Loathe/Hate/Despise Rustangs) but it's garbage. Glass roof = insta-death on roll overs. Interior w/ fur?!?! Ugly as crap. And the scissor doors aren't in ANY way American Muscle! >.< Garbage car, end of story. /end rant

Agreed, I was pleasantly surprised to see people ooh-ing and awe-ing over the 8. Always nice to see people get their pictures taken in your car :-)

What engine did they have in the Nagare? Even though its body is terrible, just wondering.

 

To my knowledge, it was not listed anywhere. Here's why: it's that much of a concept. The wheels are solid and have no tires, so u can imagine how useless the car is and consequently the only video of it driving is on a perfect driveway. I read somewhere that a designer said it "could conceivably have a hydrogen powered rotary in it." That doesn't amount to anything because this car will never make it to production.
The whole point of the car (as I gather) is to show future components in upcoming models. Such as the central driving position, 3 person wide lounge seating in the back, hydrogen-rotary, etc. etc. We'll see

I dunno.. I kinda liked the Mustang.. All the little touches like the mustang symbols on the grill. This is one that I thought looked better in real life than in pics.

I'd be happy with a z4 coupe or roadster (non M version)as my second car but I think I'd really have a hard-time convincing the wife I need a second sportscar.

That 335i does look nice too, I need to hit the lottery so I can buy all the cars I want, there are sooo many.
