Nice numbers...man, factory turbo engines just spoil the owner. So much potential to untap for so little money, FD's were/are the same...

It and the STi are both badass; just can't get past the looks though. My own personal preferences. Nice numbers; be nice with it on the street. And in DC, park it where you can see it. :-)

If you really want that car just write on it the hp numbers all over the car that would get there attention

Where is the nice $30k interior with that ride? It is all motor and suspension, nothing else is nice about the EVO. At least the STI is pretty close to being worth the cost of one new.

That factory torque curve is very very flat too!, comparable to the 8's, maybe even flatter!!

Maybe you only bought the rx8 because of interior?
I would rather choose the Evo over STI because of couple things,
1. Evo handles much better (especially with my MR blistein shocks and springs)
2. Evo is all out performance no tradeoff whatsoever
Obviously, you are not a performance oriented person. Go trade your car in for a lexus or something

So, if a car is purposely built for race, then its not worth it's price of admission?
price of admission(wtf?),
the Evo is all motor and suspension in a 10k lancer body?
you sir obviously know NOTHING about Evos and its heritage.
Evo, along with skyline GTR, Rx-7, Siliva, Supra is a proven performance car.
Look at the history of Evo.
Overpriced? It can annihilate cars that are two, three times the price on the track.
I dont' think its overpriced at all.

Why, just because I don't like the EVO's one bit, and I am voicing my opinion on a RX-8 board. It would be one thing to go on the evolutionm.net board and talk **** to them, but I think it is allowed when they come into our backyard and feel that they must show off thier car and oh so impressive dyno sheet like some of us actually care. Hell there are EVO pictures in the RX-8 Show and Shine category, last time I checked it the two have zero in common.

Too many RX8 owners are insecure about every car that is faster. Someone mentions a Mustang.....hey that POS Ford is too heavy and sucks at auto-x. Someone mentions an EVO or STI......hey that ****** car is soooo ugly. Why can't RX8 owners feel secure about their purchase?? The RX8 is a great looking car with a very nice ride and decent performance. If Mazda wanted to make the RX8 the fastest car on the planet.....then they would built an entirely different car then what you currently see.......is that what you really want? If you were that interested in speed....why did you look at the RX8? An EVO or STI or Mustang are all in pretty much the same price catagory. Any one of us could have purchased any of these cars.......but we each made a decision. The EVO/STI people felt the sacrafice of looks and comfort for performance was acceptable. The RX8 people felt the sacrafice of straight-line speed for looks is acceptable. Can't we all just get along??

These two obviously have nothing in common, not even one panel. If you actually tell someone that and they're looking at both cars, do you think they're going to believe you? Come on now!
