got this lil compartment in the centre of the dash, a manual pull out Sat-Nav was installed with out dated info
i pulled it out and installed my iphone in there
Iphone 3gs install in RX8 ,integrated in stereo via 3.5mm head phone jack (http://www.whatsmyip.org/ipodrx8/end.php)
iphone sits in docking station for charging
