Angry Warning for Vandalism - Singapore

i am totally pissed!! Got up this morning as usual to go to work, and when i reach my car, i was in shocked...my car was vandalised. I had some kind of paint removal all over the car. Made a police report and had since sent the car to the workshop. I just want to send this as a warning for rx8 owners as this may be targeted.

Reasons listed as follows:
1) Car was parked at the 4th Storey.
2) Car was parked under a florescent light, area was very bright.
3) 10 metres away is a HDB window facing my car.
4) My car was parked in between 2 cars, an MPV and an Alpha Romeo.
5) My car was parked faced inwards, ie you see the backside when approaching.
6) Took time to pour the chemical on the whole car, from roof to bonnet to side doors to rear..
7) went round the carpark and no other cars got it.

Saw the MPV owner and he told me he came back after 11pm and my car was ok. Deduced the thing happened after midnight..good thing both the cars parked beside were ok, also why i think this is targeted.

Of course i do not discount the fact i may have offended somebody, without my knowledge. Till now, no clue. Police also cannot do much. Went to STAR workshop, they quote me $3000! Shop was saying besides paint, the side mirrors and taillamps were gone, need replacement. Didn't want to claim from insurance cos excess $1500, plus reduction of 30% NCD... heart pain...

A friend of mine working at Garage R is trying to sent it to another workshop tomorrow, close for new year still..sigh..The only good thing that comes out of this is i get to change a new colour. My friend was suggesting the new limited Copper Maroon. Saw the model at the workshop, colour is not too bad, so 'on' him... should be out by next week....no car for a week...sob

So bros, ladies, watch out for it, hopefully it is just targeted at me. If you ever see a Copper Maroon, SFQ 69 S drives past, just honk and wave ok? At least get a little sympathy and support from fellow drivers. Hope this idiot FMD!!

BTW, anybody know where i can get a good deal for security camera to be installed in car? I have a feeling he/ she will be back either to gloat over it or do it again.... aargghhh!!!

Hi simonakh

I understand the heart pain when u see your car.

BUT Worst of all is the Damage is done by your own family members....

U would not believe this , someone from my family had vandalise my car, further more we are staying under the same roof....

I found out more than 8-10 deep marks on my car front bumper.

Very deep ones, can't touch up at all had to fill up the deep scratches and respray the whole bumper.

Guess who did it, No body will ever be able to give me the correct ans..

Hi bro,

So sorry to hear about your misfortune. I fully emphatise with you.

My previous car, opel astra convertible oso got scratched entirely on 1 side
even though it was in a private estate. my fren laughed at me and his 320 convertible, the hood got cut twice in a private condo somemore!!!
each time to replace the hood cost 7K.

the point is some locals or residing foreigners are so UGLY.
Instead of admiring someone else's acheivement and telling themselves
to work towards that, they have to go and commit such an ugly act out of envy.
these morons are worthless to society.

which bring me to my next point, what can we do to prevent such incidents?
our incidents are mild compared to those arson attacks on the motorbikes
in the hdb car parks which is happening quite frequently.
and what did hdb or town council do bout it?

2 way pager alarm? infrared/fisheye cameras or shall we kick up a big fuss enough for town council to install cameras in car park?

any ideas anyone?
