The car will feel warm everywhere. So if you buy tua pau, remember to keep it at the cup holder to keep it warm :D

 

normaly run in period is d first 1000 km, after the first oil change. During this period, just dun push the rpm too high & too fast. Just take it as a V... be gentle... ;p

for info, i manage to clock about 7.5 km/liter & that will translate to about 480 on a 61 liter tank!!! ofcourse u muz drive like a lamb... not a wolf.. still waiting for my 1st 1000km to reach....

let me just briefly desc how i do the consumption tracking: top up till full tank, reset trip meter. When the needle hit half tank, go for another full tank. From the amount of liter been pump in & the trip travel, you can guage the lm/liter liao... personally feel that this give a better guage as compare to the full tank method...

As long as you calculate off the amount of gas you put in again should be rite.
Normally, it hit about 200km at half mark, but only manage another 150km more after the half mark, so its miss-leading that cause of the 200km, one would get 400km by the end of full tank which is not!

hello guys! me just got my auto blue rx-8 on tuesday, the ride is very firm and it gribs well on the road...
since it is an auto...powerwise is so so ...but i really enjoy the ride!
i am getting a 7km/litre, with relatively low rpm >4k rpm
is that normal?

Hi Shirube! Me drive auto too.

You may want to try the tiptronic/steptronic (whatever... the manual gear thingy). You can leave it in first gear & floor it until red line - quite good! :D

But if you do the above, kiss consumption bye bye. Me worse record (to-date) is less than 250 km on a full tank...

But whatta blast! You should attend the next meet so we can chat! There are a few other autos too! Cheers!
