I had tried 2.5" custom made at ManExh & changed to 3" later, don't waste time on anything below 3", i had spend my $ to learn, search & read thread regarding TurboXs race Exh.; header check with Alvin he have it, gain ?
Hi, if you mention that the midpipe should go 3", but what is the dimension for those exisiting catback systems like RE, Knight or HKS? Are they 2.5" or 3"?

Tks
They are three types of muffler from Greddy.... The latest one is Power Extreme Ti, not Power Extreme II.........

K.S. had LTA approved done by Ivan. As what i know as long someone before u get certain brand Exh passed by LTA , u can just just go ahead & buy that Exh but make sure it have e JASMA cert within the packaging; as long LTA Exh. database have that Exh approved, they only look at that JASMA cert, since like no other letter is required, Yap Bro is good at doing that & is difficult to fight their price ; worry just call LTA & check with them, they will tell u which exh. can be installed on 8

Hi bro EBS, my exhaust is called Power Extreme Ti. The midpipe is not touched at all. I got it from gan motor sports for a discount because it is their demo stock. It has been installed on an rx8 to go to vicom for it to be certified LTA compliant so not 100% brand new. I paid 1800 for it. I brought it to vicom myself and paid the 52.5 separately.

Im very tempted to change the midpipe but concerned abt the CEL which may come on.

For intake im looking at Greddy, HKS and now Blitz. I want a loud one to go with my exhaust. In terms of sound im quite pleased with the aural dynamics both on the low and high revs. It is a nice bassy growl when u rev but surprisingly very quiet when idle.

Performance i really dunno cos what i feel may be influenced by the sound entirely. But its just so shiok. I think i paid money just to hear my car roar but i want to hear it all the time. im almost sad when i reach home.

Now for the weight. It feels pretty damn light actually. cos i lifted it rather easily with one hand. Feels less than 12kg. But the blue tip looks damn good. I came home and started taking photos of the car or rather of the exhaust..haha

Basically an impulse buy cos i was on MC and desperately wanted to do something to the car. So i flipped hot stuff and almost choked when i saw the exhaust LTA approved. Cos not many approved and its titanium. Without thinking much i rushed down to get it installed but im glad i did it. Impulse is the mother of surprises and satisfaction.

Yes, the first piece is the most difficult, but no, you do not require JVIA cert. JASMA cert also can. Knight Sports exhaust is LTA approved for personal use, thanks to coupe07 and I think he may be getting the RE Amemiya exhaust approved too since he is planning to install it.

What I have been told by LTA is that they will only approve a small number of any particular exhaust for personal use. Once that number gets too big, they will not approve any more for personal use and would require the commercial resale approval process, so I would recommend that you check with LTA before you get any exhaust certified for personal use just in case you are the unlucky guy that they do not want to approve anymore. Even if the exhaust has been approved for personal use before, LTA still requires you to furnish manufacturer's letter, JASMA certificate and purchase invoice. The only step they allow you to skip is LTA's inspection process. For large quantities, resellers would have to go through the commercial resale process for LTA approval to get a blanket approval for the particular exhaust. VICOM inspection is still required after installation whichever process you go through.

Call LTA to check on which Exh. first, after that make sure u get ready Exh. stock, installed & go Kakit Bukit Vicom as they know & they only look at your JASMA cert, wait for 15 to 30min & that it. Remember to bring a photocopy of u IC & vehicle log card.

Remove it to test out some problem on my car, later lazy to remove the bumper & put it back, i had done e installation & removing myself as no $ to pay for manhour driveability not a problem on slow moving, fast moving "shiok", only sometime during idle the rpm is not stable.

Get e 3" metal cat midpipe to go with your Exh if u not worry about TP, but is loud ; FEED 4.777 final gear & Clutch/lighten flywheel, as for ECU depend on your luck that all for NA for pwr performance

Go for Blitz or HKS intake....... Greddy's intake frame has a layer of chrome paint, which will worn off due to heat..... Mine is turning ugly.....

do u have aftermarket bodykit with wide opening at e driver side ? i have e mazdaspeed & ever touch e filter from opening the mud guard next to wheel, it feel slightly warmer after a hard drive, & S'pore & Malaysia temp. around same. the top part of e HKS alumimiun heat shield for e intake can fried a egg after hard drive. Get a new air filter for your kit, around SG$50 from SG GanMotorsport.

For R.B. u r paying for the item + expensive flight charge from US-S'pore, is a good product but with that price just go for RE.

Look for a person with HKS & touch e aluminium heat shield after a hard drive then u know why, heard that when your car is moving that intake actually take in cool air but can S'pore temp. be that cool ? want slightly less warm air, move e air filter out of engine bay or use RB or RE

Hi bro

Assume u are talking abt exos?? Dunno why fail cos looking at specs, if the Greddy Ti can pass, HKS shld have no prob. Sound wise Greddy 93db, HKS 92db. Greddy is Ti some more. Either GR submitted long time ago fail, or maybe they have no interest to bring in so just tell me failed. They said they wont try again.

If talking about Exh, HKS should pass, also may be feel not much "meat" after seeing what YapBro had done on e HKS EuroR Exh. so just forget it. If RB get CARB approved, S'pore sure can pass as CARB is much strict.
