Hi King_RX8, how much does the car cost in Taipei? N can u post some pics of your car? R there any parts available in Taiwan that is not from Mazda but "Made In Taiwan"? Thanks.

 

Hi dru8999, I reckoned u mean how much the 8 cost in Taipei. Well, the 8 only comes with auto shifting, moonroof, leather, HID, 18 inch wheels, and 3 years warranty, the cost here is NT$1,720,000 which is about US$52,120. You will need to add road tax and insurance on top of that.

What kind of parts are you looking for? There are many parts ie. spoilers, body kit...etc. I'm personally working on the new badge for my car. I'm still designing it myself to replace the Mazda logo badge in the front and back. Got any suggestions? For sure it is a rotary shape. I'm just working on the design inside the rotary badge. Thinking of having RED color for the background. Since I'm not the artist or any designer, it is taking me a lot of time. Also, I'm planning to remove the MAZDA letter on the back and replace it with RENESIS. What do you think?

Hi King_RX8, its interesting to know that you r replacing the badges at the front n back. I know of owners who removed the badges but replacing them is something i have yet to see. Here in SIN, most of the 8s are manual but there are some auto versions too. I personally owned a Velocity Red with moonroof myself and its an auto with 18" rims. Well, its weekend now and hope u can post some pics of ur ride after the weekend. Enjoy!

Hey, I'm Made in Taiwan too... but I live in the US. Wow, 52k US for the RX-8 in Taiwan? That's crazy expensive. And to think when I went back, I saw some BMW police cars there... imagine the cost for those.

I was in Taipei and Kaoshuing in July for more than a week, never saw a RX8 on the road. But saw quite a no. of Lexus SC430. I think, rich ppl in Taiwan will tend to go for more luxury brand.

i'm an abc but grew up in taipei... was just there back in sept 2005 to attend my cousin's wedding. but, i came back early because taipei RE SI WO LE! <LOL>

anyways, i did see a silver RX-8 on the way to tao ruan CKS airport when i was headed back to LA. so, just wanted to say hi.
