Show of hands for the REVi
Just wanted to see how many of you are interested in the Racing Beat REVi Intake and the REVi Ram Air Duct. I've just managed to get my hands on a complete set and will be doing some performance testing soon. If there is a lot of interest in it, I'll post the results. If only a few are interested, then I'll just PM the results to only those that are interested. If nobody is interested, then we'll just let this thread die a natural death. :p

Ok, since quite a number of you are interested, I'll post my results here. I just installed the REVi Intake by itself without removing the VFAD and obviously without the REVi Ram Air Duct because it was late and I'm too lazy to remove my front bumper in the middle of the night. Besides, I wanted to run the car without the ram air duct first so that I can compare the results with and without the duct.. Will probably strip the front bumper tomorrow. Ok, other than the obvious improvements such as the throttle response, it's good to point out that the REVi Intake is noticeable quieter than any other open pod filter. The intake sounds a bit hollower and just slightly louder than the stock intake even with the throttle wide open. <--- Ls: This part is specially for you!
As for performance gains, I recorded a maximum power gain of 5.7HP over stock which is pretty damn close to Racing Beat's claim of 5.8HP. Torque gain is about 4Nm. All this translates to a time difference faster than the stock intake of
20m - About even
100m - 0.08s
200m - 0.15s
300m - 0.19s
400m - 0.22s
Relative to speeds, the REVi Intake is faster than the stock intake by
0-40 - About even
0-60 - 0.03s
0-80 - 0.20s
0-100 - 0.24s
0-120 - 0.33s
0-140 - 0.38s

I assume by "sucker" you're refering to the "excavator" and not me! :D Maybe we can just stick to "duct" so we don't confuse other readers.
Anyway, I'm going to find out today. I made some measurements and it should fit nicely except of coz the duct will stick out of my front grill, but that's only because my front grill is set very deep into my front bumper (it will not stick beyond my bumper).

I dont read too fast, I dont drive 'cough' too 'cough' fast 'cough', I dont need glasses.... I'm just a lazy reader, normally I'll skip a word here or there, dont know why this time round I skip the whole paragraph :p
Thanks for the review. I have the revi, but never knew how much it actually gain. But i do love the sound though. Will be intersted to know the result of having the 'sucker' in there.

Installed the REVi Ram Air Duct yesterday. Quite straightforward installation but the 2 out of 3 mounting points didn't really fit my front bumper bar and it was getting dark so I didn't fabricate longer mounting plates to bolt it down (but it can be done). I just bolted down the one on top near the bonnet release catch and I think it should be fine. Noticed that the way Racing Beat designed the REVi Intake and the Ram Air Duct left a small gap (not completely sealed) between the Intake and the air inlet mouth on the car body and between the Ram Air Duct and the car body wasn't ideal and only thought of a better way to seal up the gap after everything was put back together. I'm gonna have to take it apart again and seal it up with my own method sometime in future. At first glace, it looks a little odd because the duct is clearly visible from the center inlet of my front bumper as opposed to hidden behind the plastic mesh of a stock bumper. But I guess the "cool" factor and perhaps some ram air effect is more important. Ok, now for the good stuff.
