Hehehehe
I got a euroR owner sitting beside me in office. So RX8 thoughts by me and CL7 R thoughts by him.
Price
RX8 from MM has OMV of 36k selling at $137k (?) now.
CL7 R from PI has OMV abt $39k selling at $127k ( or lower?) now.
Basic RX8 from PI has (?) OMV and selling at $125k (?) now
Seating
RX8 strict 4 seaters
CL7 can seat more (squeeze even more)
Transmission
RX8 has auto as well as manual
CL7 R only 6 speed manual
Road tax 1 year
RX8 $900
Cl7 R $1500
Fuel comsumption
RX8 7 to 8 km/l on MM cars
RX8 6 to 7 km/l on some PI car (no ecu reflash?)
CL7R 8.5 to 10 km/l
Exterior
RX 8 a bit lower on stock suspension.
RX 8 has more body kits type to choose from.
Interior
Both of us agreed RX8 interior more chio.
CL7 R Recaro seats hugs better.
Performance Upgrade
RX8 has more options available from exhaust to brakes etc
CL7 has less (not considered a Type R by many enthusiast).
Driveability
I have not tried his CL7 but he has tried an RX8 be4 so comments by him.
1. RX8 stock shifting is shorter
2. View from cockpit is abt the same with dead corner on the left
3. CL7 R slightly better at low rpm (bigger cc?) but no diff when u hit 3000 rpm.
4. Overall not that much diff.
Maintainence
RX8 need a bit more TLC. Engine makan more oil.
Babe factor
Close fight but RX8 wins
Ah Beng factor (positive)
With Mugen grill, my colleague commented that his black car has a very high Ah Beng factor (postitive aspect okay).
I can understand the difficult choice but mine was easier. I have no kid so wife and mother in law/mother (not at same time) takes only 3 seat hehehehehe.

Damn I wish we have Euro R here in Melbourne
Warning against RX-8! You ARE INCAPABLE of having sex at the back seat. That put me off.
I wish I was in Singapore... driving with girls like the 2R... :p

C'mon, I'm sure if there is a will, there's a way... front pax seat has plenty of room unless you are gorilla sized. I wouldn't suggest bonnet though... kinda soft. :D

1) Flip the front seat forward n use the back of the front seat....
2) Or flip both front seat forward and straddle across the centre column n use both front seats' back....
:p

There was a local comparison done by Torque magazine a a few months back between the RX8 5MT (210ps) and the Euro R. If I can recollect, they said the performance between these 2 are abt the same, and overall they chose the RX8. Don't have the magazine anymore, so can't scan, sorry.

Hey Stealth, u should ask BlackAero. His previous car was Euro R.
ANyways, i drove my colleague's. Overall, i thought it was definitely one up on comfort. Felt quiet and even with full throttle, the purr of the VTEC was not overwhelming. The acceleration was almost as smooth as ours. Tot the interior was not too bad also.
The price would be the deciding factor for me. 20K difference man, dats a lot. I am comparing JDM 150K and Euro close to 130K. Dunno abt the exact price now though...
For ur info, i did consider the EURO and i think it is a very beautiful car when properly done-up. Definitely in my top 3 list. The other would be Integra.......
Cheers

Hi guys,
I think I am the best person to comment on this, I just sold my 15 mths old EuroR for a RX8 6SP Manual. Both cars are fun to drive but I prefer the RX8 for its handling and control. Street performance wise both are about the same, but RX8 will do better on the track.
I agreed that it is tough to get tuning parts for EuroR, I had my cars for 15mths and I didn't have much mods. As for RX8 there are lots of stuffs & parts that you can get.
Cheers.

Which car is Babe magnet ?
My friend is buying a new car and I need the opinion of the ladies here on which car they would love to be seen in. Brothers are free to comment of course but will not be counted towards the poll. Take note that my friend is interested in the "babe factor" more than performance, handling etc....so please do not state the obvious about performance. Thanks a million!!!

3. Mazda RX8
4. Nissan 350Z
5. Honda Integra Type R
Thanks for your help

my votes!
similiar to coupe07 if not counting performance wise...
personally i do not like the lastest facelift of that DC5 GSR(Integra)
dunno whether the Type R is using the same face lift.
there is a close fight between a fairlady & RX-8
but still i'll choose a RX-8 coz of the cool factor than the 2 door coupe fairlady
me a guy so my vote not counted.... hehe
