Personally, im a fanatic for Transformers especially the G1 when Prime and Megatron were still in metallic form.. I have almost the whole collection. But it has since degenerated into Gorilla in the midst and Shelltox fiends.. Stay tune for the MOVIE debut in 2007

this looks like the Hasbro manufactured rx8 transformer. I think its quite crummy compared to the japanese Takara models.

plastic is about 20, metal is about 40-50

plastic - white
Metal - white, red, strato blue(decepticon)

check ebay, search for "binaltech transformer" or "meister transformer" and I think the blue one is laserwave or something

I have the red one, it's pretty cool, but the instructions to transform are in japanese

Should be the normal price for Binaltech (Takara) cos it's die-cast, not the plastic Hasbro ones...

Good for you!
That one is a Mazdaspeed kitted one, FYI.
I'm looking for the Red normal one.

Two Takara made transformer. got them quite long ago...they are always fighting with each other. Yes...laserwave is much more nimble in cornering but smokescreen overtakes when there is open road. They have been taunting each other for the longest time.

Can be found at the toy shop in far east. He has a few colours available. its at second floor. Think he is from HK.

I have two of them - both are american - I can break it down for ya -

in japan we have binal tech - die cast - 40-50 price range
in america we have alternators - same exact mold but plastic 20 price range

in jap there is white one meister [jazz in america-he was a gen 1 porche] and a red one [this one is a str8 repaint of meister/jazz and did not have a gen 1 counter part] - named zoom zoom [kinda a nice fanwank to us mazda heads huh] - the purple one is named shockwave [this was a gen 1 purple laser gun] and is mazdaspeed kitted w/ spoiler - it is not the shinka 04-05 color but I think it should have been - being a trans fan the shinka blck cherry mica would have been ok for shockwave and would have also stayed true to the car - I am pretty frequent on the trans boards and ebay can get kinda high - if I see any for sale I will try and post links in this thread for ya - the red and white have no spoiler - I have the american version of jazz [white] and laserwave/shockwave [purple kitted]

I would post pics but I am in the middle of a move and my 100's of 40 yr old virgin toys are stored away....

also of note - this rx-8 mold is being reused - there is a new jap one coming out that is miniture called auto looper - he comes with an anime style chick that is bordering on hentai - there is also a series called titanium series that has the robot mode of the rx-8 jazz as a miniture die cast statue/figurine......

i am going to try and eventually pick up the die cast versions of both - when I do I will sell my purple american plastic one and then I plan on sanding the white and repainting it with some shinka touch up paint to match my own car - lol - maybe I will kitbash a new head for it and make it diff....
