Dude...MM is not going to "group buy" anything at a discount, especially something that requires programming. If you want the r-key, just go in and get it done.

just got the key from MM yesterday. No discount for any quantity purchased. I asked the abang there "Abang, buy lima key ada discount?". He said "no discount, but one or ten also same price"

Took the keys. Went to key cutter and duplicated it.

Coupe and myself programmed the new keys to sync with the existing ones. Started off with some minor hiccups as expected but was quite ok with the syncronisation once we got the hang of it. Thus overall expect some 40 seconds break if you encounter screw ups.

The $80 saved can be used to pump a 90% full tank or 40 McChicken

Me? I'm going to use the $80 and hope to get the $10 million toto come this friday.

 

yup... the programming can be done by ur ownself... no need to waste money and asked MM to do it for u. Got to leave ur car there for 3 hrs as well, while DIY programminging takes less than half hr, factoring in all the hiccups. Best thing is, u get to save $80 for doing it yourself.

UG, there is a chance that your PI 8 might not be able to use MM's retractable key since MM 8s can't use the retractable keys that are available overseas. If you want one, check with XtremeRev.

 

yup, the frequency is different.... MM one cun be used on the PI car....

PI car suggest u get from overseas website.. or like wat flyer says, Xtremerev has a spare one for sale.... HIs is brand new, so shld be a superb buy without much waiting..... call him!

I got a retractable key suitable for PI car. I got it but cant use it on my MM RX8. Paid $300 from US FYI the retractable key has 2 parts, the key portion and the remote portion. Can sell it to any PI RX8 owner looking for a retractable key for $150 (remote portion). Can help buy the key portion from MM for $40 but buyer got to cut the key himself. As good as new and much cheaper than u buy from overseas.

Those interested can arrange we try the remote portion to make sure ur car can use be4 u commit. Include the programming so everything will be swee swee. As good as u buy a retractable key from overseas at $190 instead of $300!!

As commented by sandman, the programming is very simple and straightforward. Its a waste of time n money to ask MM to do it for u for $80 + 3hrs.

Any guys not sure, juz raise ur voice here or raise it during meetups.... However, pls get ur key cut before we do the programming for u....
