RX8 Convertible Spotted
Photos from a certain credible car webbie:
Mazda Motor was featuring a lineup of their new CX7 facelift, Demio Mz2 and a Pearl White 8 Convertible at the docks.
I couldn't manage to find any more pics but from the looks of the converted 8, it looks pretty decent. Renesis engine within I hope, but rumours has it that a 13B or higher cc might be incorporated. RX9 possibly would have some incorporation??
I was actually hoping to see them incorporate the suicide doors into the convertible, that would have been nice to see, but then the overall car length would be the same as a standard 8, notwithstanding the convertible top (or PRHT). Either way, its good to see Mazda have the guts to do something like this.
Maybe Mazdaspeed will come up with something credible for the folks back in Mazda Japan to consider.
Noted was the absence of the normal suicide doors, a hand-rail more than a roll-bar and of cos, it was convertible.
The two guys in the convertible apparently were top Mazda Japan executives (or bosses) and this parade is an annual thing at the start of each new year to showcase some of Mazda's new line-up of vehicles.
Its not been confirmed as yet, but for the time being....I won't be surprised if your 8s eventually become convertibles! maybe then i'd consider one for the future.....
