they charge me around 90 for that thing. they mention about changing the engine mount, but that would cost alot more like around 300 plus am i right? thus i tried their method. anyway they said that the part they cut off was part of the engine mount and it will come with new engine mounts. feel free to correct me. anyway, since now the car aint vibrating, i'm a happy driver.

then i dont know what could they have done to make my car stop vibrating. now its so smooth even the erratic idle seems to have stopped, but that maybe because of the air filter that they have changed for me too.

do u mind snapping some pictures???? It wld greatly help many of our members here.

rayshaw23 01-12-2006 02:52 AM

ah, the thing is that i dont know where to take the picture. i just left my car there and collected it when its done. maybe u guys can point out to me where to look and i will take a picture. maybe better, i would just turn up at one of ur meetings and maybe someone can help me take a look also. i am kinda scared that they did something that they are not suppose to to my car.

i am having the same problem too. my car is only 8mths old and now it vibrates like hell. But my idling is normal. recently i crashed and damage the front bumper abit but the vibration is worst than b4. I really need a solution to this problem man. Seems bad to drive a car that feel like dying off any other min.

hi guys, just came back from service and commented on the idle vibration to the mechanic. he also recommended changing the hydraulic engine mount, the pear shaped thing. he says that it is recommended that every 20k change. tats like 400 bucks every 20k!!! abit steep i think. can i check wif you guys whether any of u verified rayshaw's method yet? thanks.

Is it a urethane piece? If it is then i doubt its so expensive. Maybe he is charging you for the labour.

rayshaw23 03-10-2006 01:24 AM

well, just to comment, my vibration problem hasnt come back. although i think i need to point out that its still not perfectly vibrationless, like a mercs, but definitely i feel that its well within my limits. at least my blood presure dont rise at the traffic junction. =)

darkelfin 03-11-2006 03:57 AM

thanks ray. :) yeah, it's a urethane piece though urethane, plastic, rubber i can't tell difference. haha... :p anyways, looks like no one else tried. i think i'll live wif the vibes for awhile longer until absolutely unbearable. thanks. :)
