hi i wanna ask if any one who knows the profile of this red rx8 april in sg car mart
i know it had rear bumper but was a small claim. any one can help me with it!!!i have paid a down payment

Just curious, did they tell you about the rear bumper claim or did you have to ask them first or did you just found out about it on the other thread?

 

yah i am curious also. They told me when i went to see. but had 5-10mins alone with the car and i saw it too. would have asked them about it anyway.

for the feb red, they tried to lie about it but i pushed for an answer and finally they admitted.

bro, why did u pay the downpayment when you knew there was something wrong with the car?

 

why i paid CZ it was a very minor ACC and just wannt check any one knows the profile of the car!! the cliam was $3000 over

 

many times the claim can be $3000 over...but the actual damage is only about $300(the price for a bumper repair and respray)....all this very dependent on the company claiming the damage. It is really very difficult to tell the full extent of the damage by the claim figures alone....unless you speak to the previous owner.

 

I called MM and they told me the claim was done by them. And only the bumper was new and respray that was the whole damage!!!!

 

No wonder its over $3k. MM charges "professional" rates. Like kenny said; the claim could include many other things. eg. damage to public property, other party's lose of use, taxi driver's lost of income, etc.

I think whats important the chassis is not damage; bumper damage is still ok as it does not affetc the integrity ofthe car.

Maybe you can get them to give you a discount for the misrepresentation. But it all depends on what actually happen between you both.
