Hi! any 8 owner install the HKS muffler? So far is there any BACK FIRE? Appreciated if can post some comments and feed back. Thx.

juz called Wong form Garge R and order the HKS muffler and the box air filter..... just cant find the itch bud n wanna to put it on......

renesis8,the draw bk,the engine chk light wil lit.im askin round those owners of the current model rex hw they got it over-ride...then, will b 500 fr LTA if u got caught(touch wood)

 

ya $500 donate to LTA for NICOLE HIWAY............ once they caught your car equiped with the so called illegal muffler. that's the thing holding me back to put the HKS muffler ...... but GarageR said that they need at least 30 RX8 onwers to level out the cost for the endorsement and approval from LTA. Dun know when is that going to hapen n I just cldn't wait. And on the other hand hate to bite the bullet by doing the muffler w/o approval from LTA................... **** ...............

 

Hey Renesis8 so have you installed the air intake and exhaust? How is the performance of the intake? Sound? Low RPM any issues?

As for the air intake, Fab8 clamied tat juz drop in the MAZDASPEED or orther better filter element which r better than changing the whole intake with the box.......

Neon, is not that I dun believed in the performance tat u had done to your muffler... Juz tat I dun feel good and dun know based on wat ground the guy took away how many % of the fibre glass element and replace back how many %.........

But again, if the HKS going to take a long long time to be approved by the LTA. Then I gues I might give it a try..........

 

Err...don't recall making that claim Maybe mistook somebody else for me??

Coincidentally, I do have the Mazdaspeed drop in filter element on order and it should be here by the end of the month, so will let you know if theres any difference (not expecting anything much, though...)
