I just got RP short shifter installed ... costed me US$100 + stock shifter traded with another forum member....
Retail Price is US$260
i would say this by far the best mod for an instant difference! of course exhaust and intake are "essential" for rx8!
oh man.. cant wait to go back to malaysia this summer..! Asam Laksa and Mee Goreng. yummy

Or...contact Hymee in OZ, he can ship the RP short shifter. I put mine in over a year ago and friggin' love the thing. The 2-3 shift is my fav, it's so short it's an incredible feel. Installing the RP short shifter is easy to do yourself, just need a 10mm spanner, but better with a 10mm socket extension. Check out the Gomez install in the DIY section for pics and instructions.
Once u get the RP shifter installed, must change the stock **** since it leads to unwelcome gear noise in the cabin....I've changed many shift ***** to find the best combo, the voodoo pearl completely negates any noise and it feels and looks superb with the 8 interior. It's the best combo IMO
