Rims Off set

Any bros can help me with the off set of the 8? Is it only specific off set can fit the car? i.e. if the off set numeric is smaller, willit still fit the car?

both sizes are ok.

if not wrong, front 8.5in, rear 9.5in. Or 8in and 9in, right?

Correct offset depends on the width of the rims, +42 may be okay for 9.5in but not for 8.5in. 235 and 255 is the width of the tire which will have no problems fitting on the 8 (assuming offset is correct), but you need to know the width of the rims first.

Unless you are packing some hp under that hood i do not think that a 255 width tire would be good for your 8 . For better all round grip , i would suggest sticking to OEM of same width all around. 235 or 245 tires would work. if you still want a staggered set-up 225or 235 in front and 245 in the rear. 245 would be the most i would go for a 2 rotor NA 8.
As for offsets, you would be good with a 35-40offset for the rims.

Warning: Changing tire width/size will increase rolling resistance and drag. You will see a decrease in fuel economy ( ..hehe.. can't believe i said that) and may be an inaccuracy in your speed reading.

I am running +43. Actually would prefer +40.

My only concern is that running too small offsets will cause the tires to rub on the body and/or cuase the stock suspension to work harder; maybe end up have to change suspension.

tan280: Wow! 265. Next time LTA can hire you to smooth roads and they can save on steamrollers.
