There are actualy a few types....I just looking for a normal one just like those found on other mazda cars. Went to a shop who quote me $380 for one stupid key!

Just wondering if there is any other place selling cheaper.

wOah..... $380 for a retractable key?

i know that are other retractable keys, by VA or something...which can be found from some Alarm/Key Fitter at Turf City....

However, the key doesn't look as sleek & cool as the Original Mazda ones..
I've actually fitted in my previous ride...but i changed them as they just look absolutely awful....

haa haaa....

Compare that to the $2k for a Merc one. That needs to be sent to germany to code.

I heard ours costs $300; that what my PI will charge. (At least that was what the salesman said)

There's a key making shop opposite AML (near the POSB) that carries a generic retractable key. Not sure if it will work, but they're only going at S$80 each.

Before you make a wasted trip down2 Monster, if your ride is from MM, dun bother coz there is an immobilizer in ur key system which you have to go back to MM for programming.

Only if your car is from PI and belong to earlier batch that does not have an immobiliser, you will be able to purchased the retractable key.

Cheerio

Was at Mazda Service Centre today. Apparently there is an offer now for the retractable key for S$205. At least that's what the poster/sign stated cos when I was there, the parts/accessories side was closed (arrived at 6+pm). Usual price S$280 if my memory serves me right.

Was back at MM today - confirm that the retractable key promo for Mazda 3 only.

Was there to get the touch up paint but after application, it seems even worse - i.e. instead of covering the "flaked" off parts, the whole painted part looks discoloured and uneven.

I basically applied and wiped off the excess with cloth. Am i doing something wrong?

Where is the damaged part? If its obvious then go respray if not leave it. Touch up paint wont do any good

Don have to go MM to do such minor jobs, can go to any outside workshop which charges cheaper and can do it faster Unless your car is pearl white?

I just got this 1 year old 4AT. the retractable car key I have has 3 buttons: lock, unlock, and this third button that looks like car boot. That third button does nothing when I press it. Anybody knows where I can ask it to be checked?
