Question Questions about RX8

Hi all,

I'm a newbie at this forum. Am considering purchase of a RX8 AT from parallel importer, was wondering about future maintanence and servicing. ? if there are outside workshops familliar enough with the electronics and rotary engine?

Was wondering how many of u guys or gals in this forum own a RX8 AT?

Also, which are the workshops around that bring in RX8 parts? so far I only know of specR that brings in the rx8 parts.

Thanks, looking forward to learning more from u guys.

ops, sorry for the late reply. the car is great so far. i mean i dont really like to drive that fast so no mod to the car yet. also waiting for the warrenty to run out before i do anything. actually the PI will hook you up to a maintenance company i think. at least thats where i go for maintenance. everytime when i go for maintenance, the mechanic will change my oil though. saying that i must change it frequently....

Hi linus!

Which bodykit is this? May be the mazda RX options - if so most (all?) PIs can help...

Brakes r good for normal use - but that shouldn't stop u! :D Steel-braided brake lines will go well with dot 5 (6?) brake fluid - better response! Me considering...

U may also want to consider cross-drilled & slotted discs. Me waiting for Black Diamond - cool cos discs r black (matches me X)! Cheers!

Hmmm...ENDLESS.

Dats wad i will be going for too. The mini 6pot one. Its beautiful. But, not in the near future though kinda steep for the whole set. 4K+.

Wouldnt mind changing the hoses, dot 5 and pads first. abt 600+ Endless too.

Rotors n calipers later....Dun really need it 4 daily drivin unless u track a lot....:D. The original 4pots' r very good actually.

Dats thinking out loud for me....CHEERS

Well for some it might cost more than 4k as most calipers don't fit the stock rims. So, beside the calipers and rotors you'll probably need to look into rims and even a new set of rubbers! My guesstimate would be 8-10K!!!

Anyway my favorite is Grex follow this thread

Actually the mag which i saw, Hyper Rev includes the rotors and it adds up to 3800$ after conversion.

Unless the japanese written there says does not include rotors then i stand corrected :D. Page 99.

Cheers

hi M-ster,

I told the guy when I ordered the volk rims that i want to put in the endless calipers next..so I guess he should have ordered the correct offset.

thanks for asking.

so have you gotten your GT-U yet?
I love those rims too, just not sure how they'll look on the 8. Would love to see some pix once you've got them up.

cheers
