sorry to trouble u guys again....
can rx8 install a Pivot Fan Controller ?
got use?

u can install 101 things in ur rx8. Work or not is one issue. Got plenty of money to waste is another issue. Useful or not is one issue.

Ask urself ultimately wat u wan out of this car. U can install everything if u wan. Outright performance, we wldnt even be looking at fan controller or RSM or all those small small things that u r looking at.

If this pivot controller is controlling the fan control, then its a few hundreds juz to make the fan kicks in at watever setting u set at. End of the day u can install many gadgets to make dat one thing work. ask urself, worth it???

RX8, if done correctly, can be quite a powerful car. If u do up ur car like u wld to a normal saloon car, then u r better off leaving it stock. The stock form may, end of the day, be more powerful than all the little gritty mods that u have done.

Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

the rsm is from my previous car...i dun wanna sell so ask if can install anot...
as for the fan controller..i was just wondering only...
maybe u can advise mi wat mods is more worth it....
i wan to make my 8 just a bit faster....

Best mod to make ur 8 go 'just a bit faster' is driver improvement... invest in yourself first before you invest in your car and best of all, this mod will stay with you forever.

Most of us have noticed that you have many things up your sleeve, with plenty of used or in-mind goodies to install on ur new ride. A suggestion, why not write down the list, make a trip to Monster Garage and ask them to clarify. I have no qualms that they will be willing and helpful to see to your queries which will shift you closer to where the light is. I enclose their whereabouts for your convenience. Happy Modding...

Ok.

Intake mod - get those tried n tested. Taiwan's S brand, dun waste time on those. Drop in is ok to use. If u wan open pod, get the tested ones from Japan or that one from USA.

Exhaust manifold - get those made in japan from rotary tuners. If go to spore fabricators like brand "M", "F" or "J" more often than not, u will get loss of power.

Cat - same thing. Go for the japan ones. Again local brands, dun try.

Exhaust - Since urs is 5MT, ur engine setup is similar to the 4AT. Get exhaust meant for the 4AT only. Use the wrong one, more likely u will get loss of power on ur NA setup. In any case i have a recon HKS exhaust at my side, anyone interested, come to me.

Short shifter for 5MT - i have told u before via PM.

Final drive 4.777 - search for this in the forum

Clutch - so far no clutch for ur 5MT yet.

Any modifications, worth it or not, is entirely up to u. Some choose to do up aesthetics first, ie, bodykit, rims. Some choose to improve handling first, ie, all the various bars. Some improves braking first ie 4pot, 6 pot or watever 8 pots.

Ur "juz a bit faster" is very subjective. In any case, if juz a bit faster then change ur exhaust. But u will not be satisfied with that only, bearing in mind ur car is NA, changing exhaust only will maximum give u 3-5hp niah.

aiyo.. everytime u see my posting, in my signature u can see my brands. Any other brands i oso carry. It boils down to wat u wan and who u r comfortable getting ur stuff from.

Fujitsubo is not suitable for the 4AT, so it shld not be suitable for 5MT too. TRUST if u wan, go to Gan. If u only wan legal, i only have knight sports. The new model is suitable for all models. U wan loud, go for Trust. U wan light, go for TRUST. U wan value for money, go for TRUST. U wan the real performance, go for rotary brands.

If u dun go track, u shldnt need to change radiator. Clutch not tested on the 5MT.

again if u read up. engine up lorry is due to farked up tuning. If tuned properly, it shld be fine. Then ur definition of a little bit faster is not little bit oredi. If u wan to TC. save ur money, change only the exhaust. the rest no need change. Comes with the TC kit oredi.
