Now I'm really mad!

Cycled past my dealer last night. I was trying to call in to get some more status update but the dealership was shut for the Golden Week holiday, which ends on Monday.

I almost fell off my bike! There was a red/red type-S in the window with all the doors open! This means he must have got the car before he shut for the holiday - i.e. last Friday in April at the latest. There are three points that make me mad:
1) He told me I have to wait 3 weeks for my car knowing he had one coming.
2) The web site said Mazda would satisfy pre-orders before giving dealers cars. The dealer actually told me I'd get my car before he got one.
3) He didn't even call me to tell me there is a car there to sit in and play with (probably as he knew I'd go mental!).

He's in trouble when I get to talk to him on Tuesday. I say I should get his red one until he sources my grey! He hasn't even got me the registration documents even though it's supposed to be an April car!

Fuming....

Oh oh, looks like trouble . Go for it and PLAY!, but I doubt he will give the car out. And don't go toooooo mad, THAT's not worth it (although the RX-8 IS worth a lot... :D )

Calmed down a bit now thanks. Tracked down my dealer and sat in the one there which actually made me feel better rather than more irritated. See my other thread "Details I can confirm" in the main Discussion forum.

Hopefully I find out today when the delivery date is.

The Mazda speed parts are out, like exhausts and body kit etc. Someone posted the catalogue on here. None of it looks very exciting to me though. Stock will do fine for a while.

i assume you have test drive the rx8 before you bought it... how different is the handling compare to the rx7 efini?

Never driven or been in an RX-7 and will be buying without a test drive....there'd have to be something considerably wrong in the world for the drive not to be good. So sorry I'm the wrong man for your questions!
